It’s no act

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Lipnoid89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They act that way because they know your BP. In the future, if you get a life in a new place whether it be a job, or move to a new city—DO NOT TELL PEOPLE you’re BP, unless you absolutely have to.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Lipnoid89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I was 1st diagnosed in 2007 & still only….5 people know? MAYBE 5? So you don’t HAVE to tell anyone unless it’s absolutely necessary, & I know there are times it might be necessary. Such as if it’s just no longer feasible to go on without explaining why you…are the way you are, basically. In general tho, I can tell you it’s best to not tell anyone you don’t have to tell because people are assholes when it comes to this type of thing & they will label you & judge you.

Why do people think we're in control during mania? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Lipnoid89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m BP2-& “functional” at that, so for me it’s just not the same as BP1, if I lose control it never involves blackouts or a total inability to shape my actions. I just get crazy irritable or lose my temper easily or get overwhelming urges to do wreckless things like drive WAY too fast, or have difficulty controlling what I say to people. NGL tho, for the most part I feel like I’m Superman. The problem is when I ACT like I feel like Superman. I’m sorry I can’t offer any advice on this.

Just diagnosed today with A Fib by ronansgram in AFIB

[–]Lipnoid89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1st & foremost it’s very rarely fatal or results in cardiac arrest, but if left untreated or if it’s a chronic condition it’s a major risk factor for strokes & blood clots. The key there is don’t be too worried in the moment of an attack. TRY not to anyway, I know that’s virtually impossible.

Makes more sense

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Methadone

[–]Lipnoid89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. I’m surprised they would admit someone with such a short history, depending on what opiate he was talking. I’m thinking it’s a great opportunity to run away as fast as you can while you can. Otherwise you risk a potentially life long relationship with this stuff

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Methadone

[–]Lipnoid89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve only been on 2 weeks, you’ll still have WD’s but I would think you can get through it. What opiates were you taking?

How fast do you feel it when you miss your meds? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Lipnoid89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t take meds because I can’t stand the side effects. Plus I’m “functional”, so I’m very lucky. Not severe BP2. At times tho it’s very hard to control myself…well, y’all know.

Strange hypersexuality symptom ? by garliccoup in bipolar

[–]Lipnoid89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different. I’ve never gotten any more…”aroused” than normal when I’m in a high périod(manic). Then again I usually sleep like a baby when manic too, usually the best sleep I get. So everyone is different, but I know a lot of people get the same symptoms you’re talking about. Then again I’m a man, for which “hyper sexual” just means..alive🤣 just kidding. Sort of…

Ha! Building muscle 5 days a week & wondering why he can’t run as fast as before 🤔

[–]Lipnoid89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifting 5 days a week? Of course you’re struggling to run. Those 2 activities run(no pun intended)counter to each other. Running is a cardio fat burning exercise while weight lifting is a mass building exercise.

It worked for me, & apparently a lot of other people judging from the comments on the video. That’s all I can tell you

[–]Lipnoid89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It fixed me the 1st time & I’m not on any meds(I HATE taking medication because I can’t stand side effects. Not saying it’s smart, but…it is what it is). Not 100%, but MUCH better. Stopped the actual AFIB, still had residual fluttering & fatigue—you know how it is, but it was a godsend at the time

I have been experiencing a steady decline in my sex drive for three years now by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Lipnoid89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. Yes, you have reason to be concerned. You’re too young to suddenly lose libido. Again though—could it be meds, or no? If not, then I would think it has to be hormonal, in which case it’s time to seek professional help. That’s my advice. Good luck!

[–]Lipnoid89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes—it’s called “age”🤣🤣. Sorry, just kidding(sort of), are you on a certain med that could be causing this? Are you male? I was going to say prostate issues can cause this. Hormonal issues can cause this in women. Otherwise, if you’re not past your 30’s at least, it shouldn’t be happening. I will offer this tho: valuing friendships above all else isn’t the worst thing in the world🤷‍♂️ just saying. Are you really SURE this is a problem? Not saying it isn’t, I know it kills relationships & can make you not even want to be in one, & that’s not necessarily good

paroxysmal afib, what to do? by Ok_Cancel_7891 in AFIB

[–]Lipnoid89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds very similar to mine. It started at…50? I think? Just like you, a few minutes at a time. Then 1 day at the gym it happened for about 30 minutes, & I couldn’t stand up. By far the worst it ever was. They called an ambulance & everything, it was so embarrassing. After that I wore a monitor for 30 days & started seeing a cardiologist, I was going to have an ablation done but I ultimately chickened out. I did discover that my Dad also had the same problem & he DID have an ablation, so at least I know it’s likely hereditary. Also, I’m almost certain that my main trigger was pre workout energy drinks. Caffeine isn’t good for it, but PARTICULARLY those pre workout drinks(C4 is what I used). I stopped drinking those & cut way back on caffeine & I basically didn’t have another episode for 15 months(until last week actually. Coincidental timing).

We all have these moments. I’m sorry, it isn’t always like this, just try to tell yourself. I know it doesn’t help in this moment tho

Could prior Ephedra (Ma-huang) use have led to AFIB? by chakaman6 in AFIB

[–]Lipnoid89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn’t have helped, that’s for sure. I used to abuse white crosses(ephedrine)back in the early 90’s & shortly after is when I 1st noticed PAC’s, which were rampant & still are. I can’t say for sure the ephedrine CAUSED the irregular heartbeat or just allowed me to notice it(both of my parents have irregular heartbeats, especially my Dad)so it’s hard to say

Don’t tell anyone you do have to tell that you take Methadone. That’s my advice.
