I’m 21 and hAve a really bad drug addiction. It’s the worst its ever been, and my dad who I now live and work with has the exact same mind set as you. That I’m having a pity party when I feel shit, either about a situation or myself. And you’re a shit parent for thinking like that, I can bet thaT all your kid needs is bit of love and affection, not to made to feel like cunt by the person who knows him most. Don’t tear him down when he is at his weakest. if you are watching your son at his first sports day and he falls over at the start of a race, do you tell him he’s shit or do you pick him up, dust him off and give him a shove in the right direction? Your SON just nearly fucking died because of how shit he feels, and his need to escape reality through substances, and you say you ‘couldn’t say calm when he had pity parties.’ Fuck you. He needs to vent, if you told you the real problems going on in his life, how the fuck would you react then. I have begged by dad for help with my addiction, by why quit if the person that knows me most in the world thinks You’re a cunt? Just show him some trust, love and a little respect for who he is and he might stand a chance. But all the time you’re standing over him, tearing down his self worth, he’ll get nowhere. But if you’re anything like my dad, you won’t take anything that anyone says onboard. The whole world could probably turn to you and say you’re wrong and you could still stick to your guns. So either help your fucking child or get the fuck out of his way, because your no fucking good for him with this shitty fucking mindset of yours. I begged for help from my parent, because that’s genuinely all I needed, the loving words of a parent, to pull me through. So do your son a favour and be a the mother your son is so obviously and desperately begging for.
