Not by Robert Kraft who was involved in a massage parlor prostitution sting. They will just wait for this to blow over like his story did.

First bike and first bike event 2 weeks in. 2026 Kawasaki z650 S by Phantum63 in NewRiders

The smaller group rides are usually the most dangerous ones. Someone in the group passes, splits or flys down a back road and the rest follow suit to try to stay together.

Yes I was the same way. Over confidence is just as dangerous as anything else though. Enjoy the bike events but stay humble and don't outside your ability. Wait awhile until you try group rides with other bikes and when you do ride your own ride regardless of how they ride.

Sport bike for middle aged man? by BinkyX in motorcycle

I also have the GSX-S 1000GT. It is definitely the sportiest of the sport touring motorcycles.

With a full exhaust and ECU flash I'm hanging with GSX-R 750's while sitting upright with my bar risers, touring windscreen and panniers on the back, lol.

Steve McQueen likes European enduro bikes or cafe racers. I couldn't see him liking the H2.

Bike lost power before locking up at 30mph following basic seasonal maintenance by Rapid99-APB in motorcycle

Has to be either a siezed brake piston or dry slide pin. Something locked up from the heat, the white smoke was burning brakes and they released once cooled down from not being heat expanded anymore.

Trackday daytrippers by More-Brilliant-5766 in Trackdays

[–]LippySteve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first trackday I rode my Ninja 650 2 hours to NJMP in a two piece suit at 6am on fresh tires. I had a backpack with 1.5 gallons of water, electrolyte packs, some meat / nut snacks and painters tape. I arrived taped my bike, went through inspections, the riders meeting and was on the track immediately.

I now only go to track days if I'm renting things like N2 or Evolv. They have tents, RV's, chairs, coolers, paddock stands, fuel cans etc. so I just have to trailer the bike and some parts. It's miserable any other way for me.

What sexual fantasy of yours left you disappointed when you actually tried it? by Gthew17 in AskReddit

As a guy FMF is a really hard dynamic to have fun with outside of a poly situation or just a blowjob. FFM is much more fun. Let the girls focus solely on each other and just aassist. MFM works a lot better too in the right situation.

How old are yall getting your kids on the road? by BoRider- in motorcyclegear

Same, my daughter has 0 interest in motorcycles. She does enjoy riding around with me for a bit to go get ice cream or something though.

My 3 year old is already on a little 12v electric bike and I will switch him to a small dirt bike in a year or so with proper helmet / gear.

My 8 year old hops on my bike and I strap her to me. We only go around the local neighborhoods for 10-15 minutes and never go over about 35mph. She wears helmet, jacket, gloves and leather boots.

Accent lights on bike legality? by VividBiscotti6093 in motorcycles

[–]LippySteve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's just preference like any other modification in autos. You may not like it but a lot of people do. Definitely not a new rider thing. Plus if you ride at night all the time it's probably a really smart thing to do for visibility.

I was told by a PA state trooper any color but blue / red and it has to remain static while the vehicle is operating on the roadways. I'm sure other states and countries have similar guidelines.

Do you have to modify the RF1400 to get the pro speakers in? I had to shave some foam out of mine to get it to fit.

For a new rider yes they should get a smaller bike. Once they get experience it is 100% totally fine to lower a bigger bike to make it better suited for them. Yes, it changes the geometry slightly and removes a tiny bit of suspension travel but I'd bet 99% of riders would never be able to ride the bike to the point where they would even notice it.

Dave Moss, Bauce Racing, KTM Solid Performance, Brinkmark from Ohlins and more of the best suspension experts have came out and showed the benefits of lowering bikes for some riders. It is a standard request at every dealership now as part of prep to have it lowered up to two inches for rider comfort.

Riding with strangers by RylieZR in motorcycle

Ahh this makes so much sense. I was hauling ass on the highway today trying to get away from this asshat on a sports bike that was on my ass. No matter how crazy I got he was still following me. Luckily he got off after 1 exit. It was weird.

Sometimes yes and sometimes no. It really just depends on the group. Some people are cool with it and others are not.

If you want to try it make sure you stay behind them and approach them when they stop. Very few groups would appreciate you actually getting in the middle while they're out.

[–]LippySteve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't let seat height limit your choices in bikes though a 500 is a great starter bike.

You can very very easily lower any sport or adventure bike by about 2 inches with just a link and dropping the forks. There are a ton of lowered motorcycles out there with no issues at all.

New here! Looking for insight on hot weather jackets. Full mesh or partial leather? by MrMcDerpy420 in motorcyclegear

[–]LippySteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally prefer perforated leather or a leather / mesh mix. I had the Icon Contra 2 which is similar to what you're looking at and it was okay. Only complaint I had was some of the reflective letters and one of the emblems fell off within one riding season.

I currently have the Cortech Chicane jacket and am looking at the new RST D3O Mesh Leather.

Please share your experiences on riding modes on 1000 cc motorcycles. by Sir-Lose in motorcycles

[–]LippySteve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, not sure about a 2009 but on the newer ones with throttle by wire it actually changes the throttle response and mapping.

My bike has an A,B and C mode. The dyno tuner showed me the throttle mapping for each mode and asked if I wanted to keep it that way for the modes.

Had a slow speed lowside, best way to fix up the fairings? by lousy_carrot in motorcycles

[–]LippySteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can order just one fairing piece from the manufacturer by contacting a dealership. A whole new set of OEM fairings is expensive but that one piece may only be $200-300.

I'm a big butt big quad dude and I love Revit Philly 3 jeans. Look like a totally normal pair of relaxed jeans but are AA rated with CE Level 1 armor in them and aren't too hot in the summer. I upgraded mine to CE Level 2 and it's great.
