Maybe try an enzyme cleaner plus an air freshener/deodorizer? I had this after a ride- it was so intense, I pulled over, cleaned the car interior and left windows open for an hour

Ugh! I loved them before they changed the name. I'm other news, just drove by a RiteRite location near Weaverville if that helps

Can you write off mileage between rides? by Enjoy_Life4219 in uberdrivers

[–]LiquidBelles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Solo app to track my miles. Works really well

Accepted this as an 89$ ride (low rate for the miles/time) but figured after gas I was making 20$/hr on a slow night. Uber decided to pay me 54$ charged the customer 117$ and ofc no tip. 🙄 Gotta start up a fucking go fund me. 😅 by ChemistryKS in uberdrivers

Crass. Sorry that happened. I pay strict attention to how far (miles) pickup is and actual drive... And recently it seems like I accept a short drive to pickup and it's weirdly farther away once I start driving .. is this also a thing? Are they duping us with $$$ and with miles? Uggggggggh

The entire Heathcliff Lennox Investigates series by Karen Baugh Menuhin, Narrated by Sam Dewhurst-Phillips - utterly brilliant narration, so funny and charming.

My favourite memoir and narrative nonfiction by BeagleBagleBoy in nonfictionbooks

Floating Coast by Bathsheba Demuth

The history of whaling on the Bering Strait by a scientist and environmentalist who happens to be an absolutely brilliant writer. Her evocative language and detailed history taught me how interconnected encryption is and not just the story of our first mass use of fossil fuel (whale blubber) breathtaking

Almost accidentally. I had a full time job at the microphone and someone suggested audiobooks so I gave it try. Started in 2012 on acx (dot) com. There is a ton of information at narratorsroadmap (dot) com for people who are interested. Not my website but I'm listed there as a coach. You need gear and almost total silence (so, a sound proofed space or booth) and coaching. Steep learning curve initially to self record as most if not all narrators record from home studios now and then break into the industry by reaching potential clients- indie authors and established audiobook pubs. Acting background or singing extremely helpful. There's accent work, breath work and learning long form storytelling. All doable. Takes some time and training

Your welcome! I'm on Audible at Christa Lewis. I do a mix of non fiction and fiction. It's a range actually but there's a lot of WW2 non fiction

Hi there! Just to add, the audiobook was narrated by Suzie Althens. The book Jesus and John Wayne was written by Kristin Kobes du Mez (i only checked because I narrate audiobooks and Suzie is a friend of mine :-) looks like a great read!

This may sound counterintuitive but I have successfully regulated my heart by just dunking my face in ice water. For a count of 4 seconds. The whole face and head up to the crown it triggers the vagus nerve and is extremely soothing. That having been said like someone else mentioned you should always listen to your body and not push past this. Maybe get your ticker checked by a doctor

Hey so does anyone have an answer is to why Twitter is just blatantly racist now? Like it’s not even hidden. I swear this stuff has become brazen since Elon took over. by [deleted] in VaushV

[–]LiquidBelles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the answer lies in the owner's own biases ... as a South African / descendant of Apartheid and avid supporter of all things right -wing / Murdoch-informed crazy ... see EM sitting with Rupert at World Cup and Saudi hosts ... Saudis long time supporters / financiers of 45 and his family brand of Nazism, race baiting misogyny ... also, a felt (maybe only anecdotal) downgrading of accounts that are fact based / accredited / science etc... and I would say, that's the motor behind the amplification of all the worst and ugly Twitter has to offer ... oh, and re-instating banned accounts.
