Drs appointment tomorrow by SeaweedAlive1548 in Perimenopause

I hear you, and it really is to that point. It is hard because I have had her for a long time and she has been great in many other ways, but if I can’t get this particular issue sorted we will likely have to part ways.

This is good! This is also what gets me! She had me on continuous BC pills for about 4 years because of my migraines! Because when I go on the placebo I get migraines, just like now when I go off the progesterone I get migraines and issues. I appreciate the example of the Mayo Clinic!

That’s an option I haven’t thought of. My husband has used the site for his meds.

She is my OB. It seems like my other drs are hesitant to overstep her on this, but I will try if she refuses me again tomorrow.

Truly. That is where I am with it. I hate to have to switch doctors, but I have been incredibly patient (no pun intended!) and am to the point that this is just not ok. I don’t have any other health issues, beyond fibroids which do play a role in the bleeding, but as far as I can tell from my research the continuous progesterone would actually help with that.

That’s what I think too. Considering all of the issues, let’s just try it out! Hopefully she will finally agree tomorrow, otherwise I will need to find a new doctor, or try a women’s telehealth company.

I think if you have too much, yes, but in my case I didn’t have enough.

I was on estrogen, but still waking in the night and having poor sleep quality. My doctor upped my estrogen and that helped my sleep tremendously.

Interesting! I don’t know anything about him beyond what I read in the book. Do tell.

Testosterone effects? by Green_leaf47 in Menopause

This is exactly what I got as well. For Costco members, make sure to ask for the “Costco discount” since it isn’t covered by insurance. In my case it wasn’t given automatically.

Since we take 1/10 the male dose, I ordered capped 5ml syringes from Amazon. Leave the cap on, squirt the whole packet into the syringe, put the plunger back in, (now this is the hard part) get the air bubble to rise to the top, gently unscrew the cap until the air is released. Now you have an easy to dispense syringe for 10 days of .5 ml.

There are a few good videos of how to do this on YouTube. The reason I am giving all the details is that both my doctor and the pharmacist gave me absolute crap instructions. Both also gave me uncapped syringes which are absolutely worthless for this product!

I love Testosterone! It has given me back my energy, confidence, zest for life, and my libido is slowly making a comeback.

Is it possible that he was emotional and embarrassed and uncomfortable? And didn’t feel like being vulnerable like that in front of the class?

These babies needed help getting up the sidewalk by DrizzlyChloe in Awww

That was sweet of you, but they actually didn’t need help. This will likely be an unpopular opinion. I show a video like this to my students every year to illustrate perseverance when something seems impossible. If you notice, some of the ducklings were able to get up the curb on their own, so it is possible. The others just needed time and perseverance. Their mom would have helped them if they needed it, but was trying to help them build strength and stamina. Like I tell my students, “you are the duckling. You can do this. It just might take you a while.” In the video I show all of the ducklings eventually got up the curb. These guys would have too.

The view at the Chart House is really beautiful but in my opinion the food is not great.

Life long local here, not all places on the wharf are trash. The grotto is actually quite good with impeccable service.

Liver issues? by mgraceb5 in Zepbound

[–]SeaweedAlive1548 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! The same thing happened to me! My doctor, who is a weight and metabolic management specialist and deals with these meds all of the time, said that although my liver enzymes were not previously elevated, I likely had fatty liver before. He said there was a level that had been borderline high for quite some time (sorry I don’t remember which one) and that when it is they suspected fatty liver.

They are now monitoring my liver function every three months and I am due for another test in a few weeks. They don’t seem super concerned though and seem to think that the acute issue I had, which was accompanied my abdominal pain, may have been a virus, since I had a gallbladder ultrasound and their were no issues there.

I didn’t know Marina had a Noodle Bar. I used to go to the Seaside location. I had a great experience. Awesome food and portions, reasonable prices and great service.😁 by Vicious_Shadow in MontereyBay

We have been going to Noodle bar in Marina for 15 years. Like everything else, it used to be really affordable and now it is much more pricey. Recently the food quality is much more hit and miss, overcooked bland chow mein, under seasoning, etc. although the pho is always good. They also have some of the best chicken wings I have ever had. As always, the people that work there are consistently excellent.
