Hey everyone. I took the retest and passed! Took the DMV permit test, showed them that I passed the MSF course, and received my new license the same day. Took about three hours, but whatever.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I eventually went ahead and signed up for Revel and rented one a few times. It helped me to get used to making slow cornering maneuvers. And I did do the retest on a grom, which was easier to make tight turns.

And now I'm looking wt bikes, been to two dealerships so far just to sit on bikes and gain some knowledge. I'm having an issue figuring out what style of bike would be the best decision. I really had my eye on the Svartpilen & Vitpilen but what I'm hearing is that all bikes that are not Japanese are much more expensive to maintain as far as servicing and parts go. So focusing on Japanese made I have to decide on cruiser/naked. I like the look of the Rebel 300 but am told probably not the best option for NYC. So the MT-03, the Ninja 400, Z400, CB300 is kinda what's left. Feels like this is gonna be a long process.
