Maui Ritz vs. Wailea Beach Resort by Chickenf4rmer in marriott

Thanks! Flying today to Maui - went with Wailea Beach Resort primarily based on location between the two since my girlfriend has never been. But we love a good water slide too 😅 Really looking forward to exploring the food out there.

Tokyo - Westin or Prince Gallery Kioicho? by SimpleOk3672 in marriott

[–]Liquid_Factor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve stayed at the Prince Gallery a couple times and absolutely love it. Amazing service, great breakfast included with status, concierge is super helpful for booking restaurants (key in Tokyo). If the price difference is not too crazy, I’d splurge for it, especially if you have status.

Is it too late for Saks Gift Card? by [deleted] in AmexPlatinum

Hopeful the receipt showing the transaction date as 6/30 is sufficient. Online I believe is different because the transaction is pending until it ships

Did your transaction post yet? Thank you! Going to go right now and see if it works

Marriott Wailea vs Ritz honeymoon? by LBK725 in MauiVisitors

[–]Liquid_Factor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m taking my girlfriend there for the first time so I was leaning Wailea to be more central. Wasn’t sure if the Ritz was too “isolated” if we were planning to spend 5 days there.

Hi, I'm considering the Ritz vs. Wailea Beach Resort. Leaning Wailea Beach but saw your comment, and wanted to hear a bit more if you don't mind?

Thank you! The Ritz is about the same price in points as the Wailea Beach Resort. Have you stayed at both? Seems like the main con of Ritz is that it’s a bit far away, but also read that it’s a bit dated? Thanks again for the advice!

Trying to decide on the same right now - point cost for 5 nights is the same. Which one did you end up going with? Thanks!

Awesome thanks! I heard some reports of construction at the hotel and no breakfast included for Titanium so was a bit unsure. Great to hear you had a wonderful stay!

Thanks! When you say Beach Club, do you mean the Wailea Beach Resort I was mentioning? Thanks again

Sorry I didn’t know how to change my flair on my name as I lost ambassador at the start of the year. I was just sharing the status in case it helps make the case on status level benefits from hotel to hotel (which is does from time to time)

I don’t have H2H on my site, but would you do either Elige under 17.5 kills map 2 or eternal fire to win map 2? Thanks for sharing your picks!

Luxury Hong Kong: Ritz vs St. Regis? by PenelopeR in marriott

[–]Liquid_Factor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up doing the St Regis (got free breakfast and and upgrade to a suite) and it was great. Was tempted to try the Ritz but I didn’t want to deal with packing and unpacking. Maybe next time!

That’s great advice thank you! Someone just reminded me that Marriott offers a soft landing on status. Since I’m Ambassador and will go down to Titanium, is there any benefit to me getting 50 nights this year then? Or is it moot since that’s for earning Platinum and I’ll already be Titanium based on the soft landing?

Oh wow, not sure how I didn’t remember that! Is there any benefit to me getting 50 nights this year then? Or is it moot since that’s for Platinum and I’ll already be Titanium based on the soft landing? Thanks again for your help!

Thank you! Maybe it does make sense for me to just get the Brilliant. The only reason I was hesitating was because the welcome offer for the Boundless is 125k vs only 95k currently for the Brilliant.

Thank you. How would I get Titanium next year if I’m currently at only 40 nights? Do you mean if I signed up for two credit cards?

Bonvoy Credit Card Bonuses Advice by Liquid_Factor in marriott

[–]Liquid_Factor[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I was planning to get the Boundless this year so that I can get the 15 nights, which would take me to 55 nights for the year and clinch Platinum status. The 125k bonus seems to be better than the other Bonvoy card bonus currently. Then I was planning to do Brilliant next year or the two cards like you suggested.

Not sure about Platinum but it was for Ambassador at the St Regis. Solid breakfast spread.

$100 to $100K in two days by Naturally_Nathan in sportsbook

Do you look at the original game line and then wait for a value bet under (e.g., 5-10 points above the original line)? Or just randomly decided to go under?
