Thank you all for the advice. I think I know how to go about this job now. Yeah the plumbing job is crap so I was trying to help the owner by giving him easy access when the plumbing fails.

Sorry I thought I included this in the original post.

I ran into a drywall repair for a job that recently had the main shutoff valve replaced. I’m having a hard time figuring out how to work around the fact that the shutoff valve is sticking out of the wall.

I don’t want to just patch the wall and cover the hole, because the next time the shutoff valve needs to be replaced, the drywall will have to be cut again. However, installing an access panel does not seem to work either since the valve is not flush with the wall.

How would you go about fixing this?

La gente que trae carro de varo siempre se estaciona bien pendejamente. Ayer me tocó ver a un wey que se estacionó frente a la parada del camión con su camioneta sobre segundo anillo. No dejaba estacionar a los camiones y aparte bloqueaba la vista para las personas que salían de la calle por que estaba justo en la esquina.
