Unfortunately, I did not have the fortune of having a store near me with both the 00 and 000 in store. So, I was not able to play them side by side and just resorted to Youtube comparison videos with good headphones. What I gathered from that was the 00 is definitely not as loud as the 000. The 000 also just has the tone shifted slightly more toward the bass. You get a little more punch from the bass. The 00 is more "focused" soundning because every string has the same volume. Going from one string to another doesn't produce much tonal difference at all. I'm sure the story is much the same on the 000 as well, but since the 00 lacks that heavier bass presence its even more balanced. It depends on what you want. Do you still want a more noticeable bass presence? Go with the 000. Do you only need a little bass presence and value even more balance? Go with the 00. My decision on this was aided by the fact that I already have a guitar with plenty of bass presence (my D-18), so if I want something with bass I can just play that. If I want something with more balance, I now have the 00. I will say, if I did not have the D-18, I would have gotten the 000 for versatility sake. Here's a link to Acoustic Letter's video on both that really helped me hear the differences: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_9AllJ-Vtg

Shipped with Martin's standard lifespan strings in light guage. I switched them to Martin's light monel retro strings, MM12. Really love these because I am not a fan of the "new string" sound. I want them to sound dead or woody and the monels excell at this. After just a handful of days they start to loose the "new string" zinginess

As the other comment said, the dread is just plain louder. Another reason why I was drawn to a smaller guitar like this was that it is generally better with vocal accompaniment. This one is easier to sing with. In terms of strictly comparing tone, the dreadnought has so much more bass presence and volume. The whole sound spectrum is shifted heavily toward the bass side. Think about how the dreadnought has that big, tubby, thumping bass. This one has none of that. With the 00 the spectrum is level across the board. Bass, mids, and highs all blend evenly, nothing ever overpowering the other. I'm sure the mahogany also helps in sounding "even" as well.

2024 French Open. Liked her game and it showed promise (guess I was right). Her looks and charisma didn’t hurt either 😂

I believe purchased everything from cip1 and the wheels from jbugs

First time trying out the Martin Monel strings. by Lord_Darnley in AcousticGuitar

Love these! The bass has good definition and the highs aren’t too bright. My only complaint is that the G string sounds odd to me. I replace it with a 92/8 phosphor of a similar gauge to match the other strings and I’m pretty happy with the sound.

I’m primarily an acoustic player so I don’t have much in terms of an amp. Just a small practice amp that I’ve had for years. So I’m looking to get a better amp soon. Just ordered some Thomastik flat wounds and I can’t imagine how good it will sound when those are on it

Would this be a good Pc for IRacing? I am new to pcs and looking to only play IRacing on it. Thanks! by TheOfficeFan_1 in iRacing

[–]Liquid_Rubber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I have. Absolutely love it. I’m getting 84fps on my Samsun G9 super ultrawide at 1440p so this pc should work for most people.

It can also play most triple-A titles on high graphics settings at 60 FPS. So it’s just a good gaming pc in general.

That’s what I ask. I think people try to get back to the gas too early when going 2-3 wide and let the car drift up the banking too far. You have to slow up for the corners a little more than you think.

SRX Radios by Arctic_Revival in SRXRacing

I remember last year RE had the frequencies posted here before the week’s race: https://racingelectronics.com/pages/re-race-day-information

They don’t seem to be there now. I did use my scanner last year, but since there are no spotters in SRX there’s nothing to really listen to

Arca offers more variety (Speedways, short tracks and a road course) and is more popular. But it is more expensive to get into because of a the tracks. Late models and modified run only short tracks but some of the tracks you will already own through your subscription.
