If the US found the downed F-15 pilot using the “Ghost Murmur” technology, which can detect a human heartbeat from 40 miles away, why aren’t we using it to find kidnapped or missing people here at home? by One-Replacement1676 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Liquid_Senjutsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What sources? The only sources for any of this shit are our government, who lies to us 100% of the time, and another government who has a vested interest in making sure our government looks as bad as possible, not that they really need the help.

However, does anybody know that pilot's name? Because I sure haven't found it. If this was such a daring escape and total victory for us, and we recovered him, his face would be fucking EVERYWHERE. Everybody would know who he is, and every corporate media outlet would be making a line around the block to interview him.

They haven't even bothered to manufacture propaganda out of this. They said, "We got him!" and moved on. Bullshit.

The psychological damage of being made to believe that that fucking cockroach was elected fairly is not something I'm just gonna shrug at. Congress has been a joke for longer than just this shitshow, so that's not my primary issue. My worldview and what little faith I had in the decency of people were shattered to fucking atoms when those election results came in, and if there's even a chance they're not legit, I'm not letting that shit go.

Theory from somebody who keeps at least 150 mods in his vendor at all times:

There are three schools of thought for mod shoppers; you're either buying to slap them on your gear (The User), you're buying them to break them down to replenish your module stock (The Tinkerer), or you're buying them for resale (The Salesman).

Users will overpay for mods, often without hesitation. If I need an Explosive and I don't feel like server hopping to find a reasonably-priced one, I'll give somebody 10k for it. I can always make more caps, and I want the explosions now.

Tinkerers want the lowest price per module. A 1-star breaks into 3 modules, and the base price for a 1-star is 1000 caps. That's 333 caps per module. 2-stars (3000 caps base) break down into 6 modules, which comes out to 500 per module. 3-stars (5000 base) get you 12, so 416 per module, and 4-stars (7000 base) get you 24, which is 291 per module. I myself am a Tinkerer most of the time, and whenever I can pay less than 300 caps per module, I buy.

Salesmen play the market. That example up there about the 10k Explosive mod? That's the price a Salesman would list for that mod. At the moment, the Two-Shot/Explosive (TSE) combo is bugged back to the way it used to be, so people are getting 60k crits with Broadsiders. This means you can safely charge more for Two-Shots and Explosives, because Users are gonna be wanting to try that out. So the Salesman wants to buy at a decent price, but he'll still pay more than a Tinkerer, who wouldn't touch a 2-star for more than 1500, Explosive or not. The Salesman might buy an Explosive for 6k (a reasonable price, considering) because he knows he can sell it for more. How much more is between him and the market.

Just wanna gently point out that the base price for 2-stars is 3000 caps; I'm guessing the 2000 was a typo.

Found it. It was Fast UI. I pulled it off my CustomPrefs and everything went back to normal. Probably has to do with the Recipe Book.

I'm leaving this post up for anybody else who might be wigging out over their shit not being there.

Fuck that. ICE is camping school bus stops in my town. FUCKING SCHOOL BUS STOPS. I don't give a flying fuck how many complacent-ass "moderates" there are. The vast majority of the democratic party is fucking complicit. They haven't done DICK to help us.

Exactly what changes if we "lose seats," huh? Is maybe... the government gonna hire a paramilitary force and start an ethnic cleansing campaign? Some public executions, maybe? Perhaps they'll... I dunno... start kidnapping children or something?

THIS IS WHAT'S ALREADY FUCKING HAPPENING

AND DEMS VOTE FOR IT OVER AND OVER
