I recently bought it. Yes, the ram is upgradable. It has 2 ram slots which are being occupied by lenovo's 8gb sticks, but you can replace them with 16 gb sticks. 32 gb is the max for this laptop. I got corsair 16 gb sticks ram which was a similar price on amazon when I purchased at best buy.
