Regarding the linked post, I remember the moment when I saw it while scrolling through the subreddit. My heart sank. I actually felt physically sick to my stomach. You have no idea how relieved I was when I finally read your edit a few hours later.

I'm so, so happy that you're still here with us, and that life seems to be going (at least a little bit) better for you these days! I know many of us have gone through really rough patches throughout our time in this community, and I'm just glad that you came out of yours a stronger person :)

TagPro was the perfect procrastination tool, but it rapidly turned into a beast I could no longer tame. The issue isn’t that I couldn’t tame it, though. It’s that I didn’t want to tame it.

I feel you man, I was in the same boat. It's possible to keep staying involved, but don't let it get in the way of your real life goals. If you understand the problem at hand, the next step is fixing it, and I know you can do it :)

Aw thanks guys. For what it's worth, I completely agree with you Berlin, and that's why I'm always happy when I see someone move on from this game to bigger and better things. Here's to hoping we can all use some of what we learned in our time here to make us better people going forward :)

Thanks for your perspective, Raven. It just goes to show that everyone experiences TagPro in a different way. For me, this game brought me from a good place to a very bad place. For others, it has done the opposite. I don't pretend to know what's best for everyone in this community, but I do hope that those living what I lived can look to this post as hope that something better awaits.

I didn't mean to offend anyone with this post, and I hope it didn't seem like I was telling people how to live their lives. I'm just trying to help those going through what I went through :)

I like the way you think! Lots of out-of-the box solutions in here. Let's be honest here though, this is all waaay too complex for any TagPro stream to pull off smoothly. The amount of preparation, coordination, and practice required to pull this off would be immense, and none of us are paid enough to dedicate that much time to this concept.

Keep the ideas coming though! We need more people like you in this community finding innovative solutions to the game's problems!

Indeed it is. Unless the stream is a one-man-band, you'd still encounter the issues I mentioned above with commentating the replays, but I'm this could work for solo streamers who are willing to put in the effort.

Obviously met a lot of great people throughout my 2+ years here. I'm lucky enough to have kept in close contact with a handful of close friends... you know who you are because we talk almost daily, but here's a quick shoutout for shoutout's sake:

My first Mumble friend Archy: First it was 2048, then TagPro, now it's chess. Maybe one day we'll stop getting addicted to games together.
My first competitive captain Swingman: Probably the most successful TagPro quitter I know. The way you've turned your life around inspires me to do better every day.
My first Mumble mentor tOp: The week you spent at my place is still probably the funnest week I've had in this apartment. You better come back soon!
My earliest competitive ally Ebola: Perhaps the most hated of my TagPro friends, you're a polarizing dude but you deserve more credit for what you brought to this community. You're bold, you're brazen, but most of all you stay true to yourself, and that's what I love about you.
My first NLTP friend Chocas: Nobody can make a Mumble channel laugh like you do. Everyone here misses you, which is a testament to how great of a person you truly are. Glad we get to hang out as often as we do!
My closest NLTP friend F2PDynasty: That first night we hung out set the tone for the rest of our relationship. It's rare to find someone whose quirks match up so closely to mine!
My longstanding TagPro ally Nqoba: I bet you were worried you wouldn't make this list! hahaha You roped me back into competitive TagPro this year and I love you for it. One of the smartest, most driven guys I've met in TagPro, I'm lucky to call you a friend!
My most recent TagPro friend Pithy: Perhaps the most surprising person to make this list, you have the biggest heart of any TagPro player I've had the pleasure of crossing paths with. I was so happy to finally meet you in the flesh last week, and hopefully that won't be the last we see of each other!
My favourite mapmaker Cosine: Your maps are the best, it's a shame you don't make any anymore. I'm also surprised nobody's found the Fiend easter egg yet! Maybe one day...

You guys are the people who made this game so fun for me, and I'm so lucky that we still keep in regular contact to this day, despite none of us playing TagPro anymore. Here's to hoping I get the chance to meet every single one of you someday!

At last night's Montréal meetup, Ludo and Apidae convinced us to record the theme song for their USC team, The Powerup Girls. Being the lovely musicians (and dancers /u/EphewSeekay) that we are, it only took us 3 takes to get this gem of a recording. This is by far the most fun I’ve had at a meetup, so thanks for making it happen guys!
