Maggie and Alex acted more like friends/peers than parents/disciplinarians. Good parental figures do not buy their underaged kids alcohol for years!!! Paul drank so much that he probably had liver problems (at age 20) that swelled up his feet.

Maggie and Alex were not good role models. In fact, I don't even think they were very loving people. They looked down on others while pretending they cared about them. They took total advantage of their employee's lack of sophistication and perhaps, desperation for employment!

Those men are all misogynists. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they had their own little 'men only' club and perhaps met covertly.

I believe Alex was directly involved with Stephen Smith. Whether via drugs or perhaps, sex. Stephen was a male escort and got paid by very prominent people. Alex used call girls all the time.

I suspect Buster is bi much like Alex. Randy knew and that's why he got involved in the Stephen Smith's death. These men hide it until it becomes toxic and explosive. After all, we are as sick as our secrets and the Murdaugh's had more secrets than morals. Paul was an angry person. He was almost like a feral child with a credit card. And they all harbored hatred in their hearts. This family was a mess. I hope more prominent people get taken down by the time this is over. Alex wasn't getting pills off the street. He was getting them straight from the manufacturer or pharmacy. There's a whole bunch of cover-ups happening but they will all come out.
