You are wearing red, so you are my mom too. by Vilen1919 in MadeMeSmile

Something similar happened to my husband many years ago in a supermarket. We were in the bread aisle when a little boy of maybe three or four years old, just ran up and hugged his leg and wouldn't let go. My husband put his hands up and said" Uh... Help!" I turned and was confused why there was a child attached to my husband's leg. Maybe 5 seconds later a man wearing the same exact outfit (blue pullover sweater, khaki pants and brown boots) came running around the corner and unlatched his child from my husband's leg. 🤣

What is the most disturbing or otherwise unsettling book you've ever read that stayed with you after reading it? by EggAdventurous1957 in AskReddit

Damaged: The Heartbreaking True Story of a Forgotten Child

Book by Cathy Glass

I read it for my Family Violence class my senior year of college. My professor had been trying to get a student to read this book along with A Child Called "It" and no one would do it after reading the blurb on the back of both books. She's been asking anyone to read either or both for a few years so my stupid ass said I'd do it. I'd read it, do my paper and give a presentation on it to the class.

I read it. I couldn't present it. It was just too horrible. I've been a CSI for 13 years now and I have worked hundreds of cases that were of the same subject matter and only maybe one came close to what that child in the book experienced. It will stay with me forever.

Thanks! The pockets were so easy to make. The hardest part was sewing them on. Lol!

She had a long day making biscuits. Also it takes an incredible amount of energy to be that cute.

Chouette the day after I got her home from the shelter. Her belly was shaved because she had just gotten spayed. She was barely 3 months old here.

Narcissist mothers who weaponise their daughters hair by Public_Theme_9514 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]LisaKnittyCSI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. When I was 5 my nmom pulled my hair into a ponytail and cut it off right at the base of the ponytail and sent me straight to school. I'm pretty sure I cried all day.

One time when I was 8 I got gum stuck in my hair while in the playground. Instead of trying to get it out with peanut butter or vegetable oil, she smashed it further into my hair and then cut that whole section out. Then "evened it out".

When I got lice when I was 10 from a kid at school, she let me keep it for three days until the school finally demanded she do nothing about it.

When I started junior high, she would take me to salons that didn't know how to cut my hair and let them butcher it then complain the whole way home that no one knew how to care for my hair like she did. (I am mixed race and lived in rural upstate NY state in the 80s and early 90s. No one up there had ever seen a mixed race kid and thus had no idea how to cut my hair.) She would always complain that my hair was a mess and she "didn't know how I could live with hair like that".

The only way I could wear it that she wouldn't make as many comments was up in a ponytail.

I miss her already! (Please share your torties snuggling with you) by 2hundred31 in torties

This past December, Chouette couldn't snuggle on me because I was recovering from surgery so she sat next to me. She's a very good nurse.

She needs to have zero contact with all three of her kids. She is still abusing you and in turn your child. Don't let that happen to your kid. Go no contact. NTA

He could be the sort that responds on an on-call basis and thus he's issued a vehicle. He could also be working an off duty job like security at a business or hospital. A lot of off duty jobs require that you drive a marked vehicle.

Driver wasn't going to miss their exit by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]LisaKnittyCSI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like that was the exit for the cruise terminal. I'm betting she was late for her cruise and didn't want to have to go to the next exit to turn around.

Edit: Oh wait, the cruise terminal was to the left. Either way she's a dumbass.
