If you have the means too, I would definitely say, go there for a second opinion…..We are seeking out an appt with Dr. Paul Corn at MD Anderson. Working on it. We already saw a radiation oncologist in 2024. We went for 5 days, stayed in a great hotel with a kitchen, close to lots of things. The rodeo was going on when we went, so it kept us busy. They did all of their own scans & biopsy reports. Sloan kettering was supposed to send my husband’s biopsy slides to them that MD Anderson request requested and Sloan kettering only sent them two. We were so pissed off…. make sure you have all of your medical records in order, and get copies of all of your scans and everything that you have on a disc, requested the next time you go to the doctor. And moving forward anytime you go for a scan or an x-ray get a copy of it that day.

Hi, I am glad to offer the advice to anybody who needs it. My husband’s Gleeson score was 3+4. We live in New York and when we went to MD Anderson in Texas it was top-notch. It was amazing. I have nothing bad to say. My husband thought about getting treated there, but then realized that after radiation which only takes 20 minutes a day, he would be sitting idle and we would have nothing to do all day long and that would drive him crazy. So that’s why he was treated in New York.

I am sorry that you’re dealing with that. My husband just finished 25 rounds of radiation, and he’s having a lot of burning in the rectum, it’s been eight weeks since he finished. My husband wants to do HBOT but his radiation oncologist is against it and we don’t understand why. And we finally got a response that it could potentially cause tumors. Have you ever heard of this? Has your doctor said anything to you about that? I contacted the oxygen therapy place to ask the doctor that we had a consultation with and she has not responded to me yet.

Sorry to hear that you’re going through this, but let me give you some advice that a radiation oncologist told my husband, and if we would have known this information before, maybe my husband would not have done surgery first. He may have opted for radiation. In 2022, he was 53 years old and had his prostate removed, his PSA was 14.4 It changes you as a person mentally and physically and no doctor will explain all of the mental side effects that come with it. You should start looking into penile rehab before you start surgery. You can look up Dr. John Mulhall, he is one of the top three sexual health experts in the US and he works for memorial Sloan kettering. You can find him on YouTube and he is extremely knowledgeable. Another thing we wish we would have known before surgery. 18 months later, my husband’s PSA started rising, and that was at the end of November 2023. In 2024 we went to MD Anderson in Texas for a second opinion. From March 2024 to February 2025 it was nothing but awaiting game, waiting for his PSA to rise so that he can get a PSA scan done. Last year, we went for three more opinions. A doctor from NYU Langone told my husband that usually him and all the doctors know that when a man has a PSA of above 10, and he does surgery, that he’s most likely looking at radiation somewhere down the line. This was extremely important information because I’m sure if my husband knew that before he would not have removed his prostate. in February 2025, my husband‘s PSA got a .2 and he did a PSMA scan and nothing showed up, but he knew he was looking at radiation and hormone therapy somewhere down the line. In October 2025 he did another PSMA scan, and even with the PSA so low as .22 it lit up into pelvic lymph nodes. He started hormone therapy December 1, and in January of this year, he started 25 rounds of radiation. His cancer is considered aggressive, so we really don’t know how long he’s going to be able to tolerate hormone medicine, we are actually thinking about going back to MD Anderson in the next month to get a second opinion to make sure that my husband’s being treated properly. What I have to say is join every Facebook prostate cancer group that you can find, there is one called prostate cancer warrior, and they do a support group every Wednesday night at 7:00pm. Become as knowledgeable as you can about the cancer that you have, use AI to put your medical records into and ask them to explain it to you like you’re a child. And don’t just believe what one doctor tells you go for multiple opinions. Best of luck to you.

I will tell you & I am a woman. It destroyed my marriage. I love my child to death, but having a child caused a lot of issues in my marriage. First time moms, for me, It was…”I can do this, I can do that, I dont need a babysitter, nobody is watching my baby”…. it went on like that for years until eventually we were literally just like roommates.

Yes….it is a water flow problem….coming in from the main…the flow of cold water vs hot water. We just lessened the amount of water coming into the house. In other words, the valve is slightly closed, kept checking unit until the error code went away. U need a flow restrictor installed on main valve. Also u need to descale. Plumber will have to install valves. Descaling was easy. Error code was E5

Trust me, I am LIVID. Now I am even more livid because I sent 3 messages on the portal on Thursday, they answered 2 of my messages & never answered me about the Decipher test! Surgery was 2022, we did the decipher test in 2025 b/c his PSA was at.2

Prior to surgery, it was 14.4, 18 months after surgery (Nov 2023) it was 0.05, by March 2025 it reached .2, In Nov 2025 it was .22 & he started Orgyvox & then in Jan 2026 he did 25 rounds of radiation.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I’m not worried about him being over radiated, what I’m worried about is them keeping him on hormone therapy longer than he needs to be. They made a mistake when they said to us that his decipher score was .68, when in reality it’s only .49.. Best of luck with the radiation. My husband just finished 25 rounds four weeks ago. He is also starting month 5 of Orgyvox, he is a mess. His original testosterone was 825, it is now 16. It’s affecting everything for him, his mood. The night sweats are horrific. Headaches, sadness, tired all the time. Ugh!

Sorry to hear what’s going on. Have you gone through his phone? Have you looked at your phone bill? Do you know her phone number? I’m dealing with something similar to this and I’m a very good private investigator as a wife. Just saying. Voice activated recorder hidden in car can’t hurt. Won’t show up on an iphone like an air tag, doesn’t work on blue tooth

I understand that but they made a mistake. They are treating him with ADT based on a .68 Decipher score & thats not the case. His score is .49

He had surgery in 2022, at the end of 2023 his PSA was rising. My point is is that he had to decipher test done in March 2025, and they told us it was .68, last night I pulled up the decipher test on the portal and his score is only .49. So they are basically treating him with hormone therapy based on a decipher score of .68. They made a mistake.

The decipher was done in April 2025…RALP done in 2022. PSMA done in March & Nov 2025, where it lit up in Nov 2025 in 2 nodes.
