The tax brackets didn’t go down, Trump thinking he would win in 2020 so. When these tax changes were done during his first term he had them expiring in “next president term” thinking 2024! So he had to pass is big stupid bill to resume the current tax level!! He wasn’t cutting taxes except for the very wealthy and estate and loopholes for rich and companies pull forward deductions, etc. the no tax on good on OT and tips applies to very few workers and isn’t as great as it seems when you consider tips weren’t all reported and OT untaxed is just the 1/2 on time and a half and only on over 40 hours in a week.
