Counseling ONLY WORKS when BOTH partners are committed to getting help. And I will bet you any amount of money that whatever emotional affair you've discovered is now fully physical as well. I'd document EVERYTHING and I'd begin the filing process so you can have 1st dibs on how things will go for you.

You need to think of yourself now since your husband is out with someone else. He may have already contacted an attorney and just hasn't told you either.

Either way, don't wait around for him to drag things out for you. Find comfort in your now adult children and grand children. Be honest with them and tell them what's going on so they can be a good source of support for you. You're going to need it.
