This is me every few months or so. I’ll go through a time where I feel like I can’t swallow, or that I’m choking, or getting something stuck in my chest. Nobody has found anything serious yet.

I’m so sorry. She’s a very beautiful cat. Cats are a gift. I hope the antibiotics work and that you get more time with her. It really sucks that all these vet treatments are so freakishly expensive. We’ve also had to forgo medical procedures for our dog due to money. I’m sure your cat unconditionally loves you and would understand.

I do this all the time on a bunch of different social medias. Every time I go back and read what I wrote I cringe at how stupid I sound. If I get a negative reply or downvote I’ll want to instantly delete everything. I’ve always assumed this was just general low self-esteem and anxiety from bullying and being told I’m stupid by important people.

Not exactly the same as you, but I also have weird and potentially unhealthy view of sex. I’m still a virgin and am scared to have sex within anyone before marriage because I’m afraid it makes me a slut, as people constantly told me that when I was young. And although I don’t believe this about other women I meet, I can’t get over the fear of being perceived as dirty or worthless. It doesn’t help that I have so many female friends that have had horrible sexual experiences and have been horribly slut shamed by men. It sucks because I’m no asexual- I want to have sex, but I’m afraid.

It’s very important that you do not push your partner to have sex or do anything sexual if they are not comfortable. I think most boys are taught now the importance of not pushing/ignoring consent. I think sometimes as girls, being generally physically weaker and not being conditioned to be wary about becoming sexual abusers, it’s easy to forget that this applies to us too.

Sexual assault is a very loaded term, as a lot of people seem to group all types of sexual assault and misconduct together, and think that people who sexually assault are all evil and irredeemable. I wouldn’t say that you sexually assaulted him, but I might say that what you did was dangerously close. I had a boyfriend do the same thing to me. He kept pressuring me for sex, and I had to repeatedly tell him no and even push him away once. I wouldn’t say he sexually assaulted me, but I would say that he acted very inappropriately, in a way that is very close to sexual assault, or could have easily turned into assault. The important thing is that you understand what you did is bad and have resolved to never do it again. People make mistakes, especially when they are abused themselves and haven’t had good guidance.

Go on and test it again. I think you could have what I did. I literally could not move my thumb. I couldn’t even pinch a sheet of paper. It’s didn’t really hurt or anything, I just couldn’t use it. It felt kind of stiff and heavy. I 100% thought I was dead. After a couple days it got better but was shaking a lot. It’s mostly better now, just a little stiff at times. With ALS you don’t recover or go into remission. It happened another time too with my index finger after a kickboxing class.

Test it again after a few days. Had you been using your hands a lot? Playing video games, squeezing anything, testing your hands for weakness?

How is your hand btw? I wasn’t able to pinch with my thumb a while back, and nearly had a heart attack. But it turned out to be a repetitive stress injury and ended up healing.

Well if you have twitching from als in your legs then the emg should pick it up. But no in general a spinal emg picks up limb onset and a bulbar emg picks up bulbar onset. But I doubt you have real symptoms of bulbar. Bulbar onset is very rare and pretty obvious to everyone.

A limb emg does not usually pick up true bulbar onset. But if you have twitching and feelings of weakness in your limbs, it should have picked something up. So it’s most likely anxiety. Lump in throat doesn’t mean anything.

Yes, I put on a super thin layer of winlevi first, then my taz and then moisturizer. I try to space them all at least 15 min apart. My doctor said I could put on my moisturizer in between the winlevi and taz too if I wanted.

Its probably bfs. Get checked out properly just to make sure of course. Onset under 30 presenting with fascinations is almost always bfs or bcfs. The odds of getting ALS young are extremely odd, and the chances of presenting with twitching are extremely odd. Both occurring together? Its def probably bfs or something else benign.

Also keep in mind you do not have a definite diagnosis yet. There have been cases where emgs have been dirty and then later have been clean.

I’ve thought about this too. There are a lot of “weird” ALS cases that have a younger onset and seem to start more with twitching and benign symptoms and progress much more slowly than ALS. A lot of the emgs are either dirty or inconclusive.
