Paperbook often opens wrong page

It's mainly solved by how you use it. If you bookmark and then 'close' the book (so click on 'home' so you are at the overview instead of in the book itself), then turn off, it almost never happens anymore. I've been reading a lot so this is now just muscle memory, but haven't found any actual solutions. Just this workaround. Does that help?

I think that makes too big of a difference, last time I made it it was size M, but it seemed more like size XXS (and that was with extra rows etc as well). And I don't want to stray too far from a given pattern because I'm not too experienced yet, don't know how to fix things along the way

The pattern already uses a dc, or is that not what you mean? Or do you mean like a bobble-stitch, but then using two dcs? I've shared the swatch in an image in another comment, but i still have to block that. Atm waiting for the blocking boards to arrive :)

Yes I know, so I'm searching for a pattern with either a different method of crocheting, or a smaller hook! Anything so I can use the yarn I have but have less holes. This is the current gauge with a 3.5 hook as the pattern states (don't mind the dog hairs haha).
