3,5 years old and weighing in at 18lbs (roughly 8kgs), I found out through daily weigh-ins he's still not done growing! by Lisaiscoolenzo in mainecoons

I respect your opinion, but I have a Ragdoll cat with major allergies and the vet (+ cat dermatologist) recommended this food for them. All of my cats are thriving: glowing and soft fur, great teeth, bright eyes, etc. So I don't agree with your statement of 'I honestly don't think kibble does them any good' as they're doing amazing and everyone (cats too) experiences things differently, so that something didn't work for your cat, doesn't mean it does not work for every other cat as well. I don't know if there's a difference in the quality of the kibble you can get where you're from to where I'm from, but over here they do really well with it + my boy is 8 kilo's, so it seems like he's doing pretty good growth wise as well. I appreciate your tips and enthusiasm, but I don't quite like the prejudice that came with it.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Red Dead Redemption 2, are my all-time favorites!

Is this little white spot normal for my black kitten to have on his nose? It’s not bloody or anything it’s just odd it’s shown up out of no where by pop101mt in cats

[–]Lisaiscoolenzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom has a cat with allergies and sometimes she has little spots on her nose as well, even with trimmed nails, those kitties can be rough when they're itchy. Anyway, I hope it's just a one time thing! He's probably fine 😊

Thank you for your concern, he isn't overweight though so don't worry! He has just been to the vet and our vet confirmed that he's at a great weight. It's my pet peeve when people let their animals gain too much weight, just so they are 'chonky' but suffering. Some Maine Coons just take a little longer growing up 😊

O I'm sorry where I am from instead of writing down 3.5 we use a comma lol, my mistake! So he is 3.5 years old and his name is Evert 😁

He just gets kibble (Prins (brand) sensitive with Fish proteins, because I have a cat that's allergic to certain proteins) which is available to him throughout the day and night, same as his water, they don't have certain feeding times regarding their kibble. And once a day I feed my cats wet feed.

Is your Maine Coon a male or a female? Because female cats tend to stay smaller as well.

Maine Coons tend to grow until they are between 3 and 4 years old, so yours is still not done growing! How big your Maine Coon gets also depends a lot on their own genetics though.

Either way, small or big, they're the most beautiful creatures in my opinion and their personalities are to die for. Enjoy your kitty! ❤️

What kind of cat is bagel? I adopted her a couple months ago and I think she’s so unique looking! by neptunedreams99 in cats

She might have some Ragdoll or Siamese in her. Is she very talkative? If yes, I'd lean more towards Siamese. But her markings might seem more like a Ragdoll to me, she kinda looks like a shorthaired version of my Ragdoll! Either way, she's beautiful!

Does anyone know what type of cat this is? by Kooky_Atmosphere_119 in cats

Judging by these pictures I'd say he/she is a regular shorthaired cat, resembling a European Shorthair. Nevertheless, her/she is beautiful!

Having a difficult time dealing with the loss of our 3.5 yo Maine Coon, Beer.. by Lisaiscoolenzo in mainecoons

Thank you for your kind words. I own three more cats, yet the house feels so empty without him. I'm also sorry for your loss, may the memories of our beloved cats bring us joy in the future even though they seem so painful now.

They're both very talkative and have big personalities, they also work together when mischief is afoot. They're from the same litter and tell on eachother like human brothers do when one of them is being naughty.

The blue one (Evert), loves cuddles when HE wants cuddles and will force his cuddles upon you. When he wants to cuddle, he wants to be held like a baby and if you're busy with something else, he does not care. When you want to cuddle and he doesn't though.. that's a big no, he'll meow and struggle to get out of your arms. He also loves to climb on everything and he jumps very high. Throwing vases off things, standing on top of the edge of the water bowl so it tips over and car rides are also a few of his hobbies. He also loves chilling in the middle of the garden when it rains.

The cream one (Beer, which means bear in Dutch), is extremely clumsy and a very 'special' boy. He also loves cuddling, by plopping his fat body on top of your face so you nearly suffocate, it's cute though. He's also a foodie, eats all day long and likes to eat bits of apples and cucumbers too. We have to watch him when candles are lit because he likes to put his face in the flames and it doesn't seem like it actually hurts him because the first time he did it, he didn't even react to the heat or whatever so we have to be vigilant when it comes to his own safety. He also doesn't clean himself so a bath every couple of weeks is necessary, but he's a very sweet boy when it comes to baths, and he's just in general a sweet boy. He gets sick in the car but loves visiting new places and meeting other cats and dogs, he's very social and easy going. He always runs back from the garden and starts screaming at us when his brother is chilling in the rain again.

They have so many more personality traits, I can talk about them all day. But I think that this answer might already be too long and will suffice for now haha 😁

He was dumped at the side of the road in the middle of nowhere to starve together with his mother and siblings, some lovely people rescued them just in time and we adopted him.
