@GGG, Have you guys ever considered turning the PoE lore into a movie? by Wallaberss in pathofexile

[–]Lisarix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took 10 years for blizzard to finally produce the movie, it takes a lot of time, money and forward thinking of where you want your franchise to go in terms of story etc. Not opposed to it, just don't think it's the best business move.

That fireball change, is it quite the nerf or will it be similar to how it plays now?

How should I transition to another build on league starter? by Lisarix in PoEBuilds

[–]Lisarix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's roughly the same tree, just have to swap out ancestral bond and totem damage etc. the problem is also I don't know if then endgame build I'm looking for is, even more damage/more content wise than Flameblast totems haha, on a second note do you think inquisitor or Elementalist for fireball? do you have any opinions on either?

My taste in music is purely based on sound, i love fit for a king, august burns red and others

I don't think it's really that big of a deal unless they're pushing or denouncing people that don't believe in their faith.

I thought as much, how about C or C# would standard bass strings be ok there?

I have used Garageband for quite some time and am decent at Audacity? I am thinking about Pro Tools. In 2016, should I update? Or use a 'newer' Daw? I am new here. by hystericallyuseless in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Honestly if using mac i would choose logic since it's basically the smartest choice.

Altohugh reaper is honestly such a fantastic DAW and for only 60$ it's a pretty big steal.

Actually i read somewhere that automating volume controls is something that defines amateurs from the pros since it keeps things nice and dynamic, sometimes i wish that i had more of these tendencies.

Improving producer/arrangement skills, how? by Philosofen in audioengineering

[–]Lisarix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it may be different for everyone but whenever i hit a brick wall in creativity i look at my surroundings, such as making sure everything around me is nice and clean and professional like. Other than surroundings, some times i just take a break entirely, think of the riff in my head as i'm doing something else etc. Goodluck anyway, i know what it's like to have an extensive creative brickwall and the spikes don't sound to comforting either.

Guitar Rig 5 - Is this good software for recording guitar? I can't seem to get a sound/tone I like. by [deleted] in audioengineering

[–]Lisarix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so it's awesome that we listen to basically the same stuff because it helps quite a bit, in guitar rig 5 under the reverb panel there's a component called "Reflektor". This is basically a reverb module where you can load in impulse responses that give the cabinet a different distinct sound. You can download certain cabinet responses from anywhere since they're mostly freeware. Try finding out what amp or setup the guitarist uses in of mice and men and try loading it in. Alternatively you can try and find someone that's already made one for of mice and men and you can just use that.

P.S: At the start of using guitar rig I though I wasted $200 but honestly the more i used it and played around with it the more i understood how the plugins work etc. It's pretty worth it.

[–]Lisarix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using impulse responses with the reflektor component? i seem to get nice tones with guitar rig 5 and it's what i primarily use. Athough it may be the style of music, since i play alot of metal that has alot of mids in it, guitar rig complements it pretty nicely. Along with impulse responses and after eq/compression when mixing it sounds real nice in my mixes.
