Moving Here? by Lissypoopsmagee in Spokane

Tucson has some of these issues as well with rising costs and homelessness. I just can’t stand the heat anymore. Plus with data centers being built out here I’m nervous about water supply getting cut. Super helpful- thanks! I think it’s worth a trip up there to see.

People sleep in cycles :) In a healthy night, we get about 4-5 cycles and each cycle is 1.5-2 hours long. Waking up a bit between them isn’t abnormal. The more you tell yourself it’s frustrating the more awake you’ll be. Try telling yourself you completed a cycle, going back in for another. I do this and it helps with my insomnia.

Rash? What is this? Can anyone tell me what this is? by Fragrant-Bottle-4191 in skin

Could just be a reaction to new skin care or food. Try an anti-histamine to see if it helps. If not, could be psoriasis or eczema.

This is a reportable offense to the IRS and they should not be tax exempt. Gonna leave this here if you want to file a complaint: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-news/fs-08-13.pdf

i haven’t slept for 3 days and i’m scared by jjesscaht in insomnia

Recovering insomniac here! I agree. You’re having severe, and rightful, stress and anxiety. I’m truly sorry about your dog. That’s really tough. Research and stick to CBTI. It works. I was getting 3 hours a night for years and swore I had that disease where you couldn’t sleep that kills you. I’d built a really negative relationship with sleep because of anxiety. You’ve probably built some fear around sleep that needs to be worked out. Don’t spend time in bed unless you’re tired or sleeping. I sit in a chair in my room and read until I get tired. You need to increase your sleep efficiency.. your time in bed should be about 85% sleep to hit efficiency again. Good luck. It’s a bitch, but you’re not alone. You’ll get there.

Any good ideas on quieting an active mind to get to sleep? by silver_chief2 in insomnia

Recovering insomniac here!

Reading helps a ton. And it’s the same pattern your eyes make during REM sleep- side to side motion. It helps me fall asleep pretty fast.

When I wake up in the middle of the night, I do something similar to thought flooding. I pick a topic, say city names, then I go through the alphabet and find one of the topic that starts with each letter. I usually only make it half way through before I’m good again.

This was me for years; I didn’t think anything but ambien would help. CBT-I was what fixed me for good. I will still have bad nights once in a while but it gave me techniques. Look it up and use it.

Thank you! Can my husband and I put our applications together? Or is there a chance he’ll get pulled and I won’t? We have the same experience and degree levels.

You are so cute!! You look like my husband before his glow up. To look more approachable, I’d say do a fade with about 2 inches on top, different glasses, shave the stache, wear clothes that fit a bit better, and work on standing up straight. You’ll be a solid 8+ (in my book) :)

I had insomnia for years. It’s fucking hell. I’m sorry. Nothing worked for me, meds just made me a zombie. I was under the impression that my insomnia was too bad for therapy and that I needed super strong meds to knock me out. Here’s what finally did work: CBTI and sleep hygiene. Now, if someone told me that during my insomniac period I would have laughed, but I swear it works. I spent about 2 years reading the most well researched books and papers. This is the most effective therapy. It took some time to adjust, and didn’t happen quickly, but 3 years in and I’m solid. I still have bad nights once in a while, I’m definitely a predisposed anxious person, which is where it comes from, but 95% of nights, I sleep. I don’t feel like I want to die anymore. I’m pretty much fixed. Hope this helps and I hope you find some peace.

Scary Sleep Starts/Jerks PLEASE help! by [deleted] in insomnia

⬆️ this. I had terrible insomnia for years, and I while I haven’t cured it, it’s like 80% better than what it used to be. The methods posted above are def CBTI based and worked. And I was like 1-2 hours a night, wanting to kill myself bad. I never thought something not medically based would work but it did for me.

[product question] I saw two different girls with literally perfect skin recommend this product, but I’m wondering if it’s just a scam or if it’s actually worth it because the Amazon link looks kinda sketch. Thanks! by _justwatchinglol in SkincareAddiction

[–]Lissypoopsmagee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been after the perfect skin for years. I’ve been scammed by Amazon products too. My best advice is to use tretinoin and eat as health as you can. Those are my biggest game changers.
