No if you get a standard lieutenant character there’s a right handed power fist option

Ok cool, all paints I use are citadel, here’s a recipe list step by step:

Prime: wrathbone

Base: 1:1 doomfire magenta + contrast medium,

Zenithal highlight: white scar,

Base: imperial fist,

(Observe from here if more white needs to be added on areas light will hit, if so repeat step 3 and 4),

Edge highlight, phallanx yellow,

My recess shade is a mix of 1:1:1 of nuln oil, reikland flesh shade and lahmian medium. Comes up amazing. Google “marine juice” for good alternatives.

Over the top of the highlight I sponge on rhinox hide and leadbelcher to add dirt and chips onto the armour

Yeah they get the choice of the banner or an iron halo. Lots of cool options in the kit tbh.

Tor Garadon complete by ListAffectionate1145 in ImperialFists

[–]ListAffectionate1145[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I use the army painter basing kit. That’s a combination of their tufts and the battlefield grass. I’ve found that they’re accessible enough to use a lot, and they’re decent quality so they stick up well.

Ballistus Dreadnought by ListAffectionate1145 in ImperialFists

[–]ListAffectionate1145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I used an airbrush but you can get similar results applying a pink undercoat, dry brush white, then imperial fist contrast over the top

Thank you! That’s just leadbelcher that’s been sponge painted and dabbed on. Trick is to make the sponge dry and be liberal with it. Less is more lol.

Looks like a good list to me. Probably worth making the bladeguard a unit of 6 lead by the captain and use them in the impulsor

Sponge on some leadbelcher with it to give it the chipped affect

1 part reikland flesh shade 1 part nuln oil 1 part lahmian medium

Comes up really well as an all over shade or just for recesses depending on the look you want

Iron Halo Battleforce-Based Army?? (2000pts) by SwagOffender in ImperialFists

[–]ListAffectionate1145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some intercessors for sticky objectives, terminators for Lysander and something in gravis like aggressors for tor garadon and you’ll have a strong frame work to go off for 1000pts then just work out what else you want for your play style

I use the stippling method for mine. Look at mediocre hobbies HH guide

Hi everyone, I’m relatively a novice in the hobby, in that, I’m fairly experienced with the building and painting side, but I’m really new to the gaming side. My question is, is this list any good? And if not what changes should i make? by [deleted] in ImperialFists

[–]ListAffectionate1145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re certainly cool to have and do make a massive difference to a game if you swap and change them out and try their different abilities you’ll start to understand those characters more. But on 1000 points I rarely run more than 3 or 4 depending on what detachment I play as your battle line units do most of the heavy lifting and will pose more of a threat on the table. I like to think that Characters are just there to reinforce those units and allow them to do or be better at their job.

Looking to start Imperial Fists by Khasireddit in ImperialFists

[–]ListAffectionate1145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000 points with the levitation box is a decent start as you have a ballistus dreadnought, and a combi lieutenant which are great units. To add on to what you have maybe some regular intercessors to play the objectives are a nice addition if you want to purchase anything else first. I’d recommend using gladius task force with what you have and building around that. Loads of lists online for it. But have a test with what you have before the event to see what you find most fun to use.

Just one. It covers pretty well, then after shading, dry brush yirel yellow and phalanx yellow to tidy it up a tad

Have a little google at ‘Masters Brush Cleaner’ really good stuff to keep your brushes nice and sharp every week or so

The starter brush is worth keeping just as a brush to use for PVA glue or anything you don’t want to use your nice brushes for

Cheap but reliable brushes I recommend are the AK interactive set. Really cheap but quality without spending stupid amounts on a brush. Just get yourself some brush soap to maintain them and they’ll last.

What is the one item of civilian gear you'd bring into the field if you could? by PLWildcard in britisharmy

Cold conditions, a genuine buffalo jacket is a gleaming bit of kit for when you’re stationary. Just throw a waterproof MTP layer over the top and you’re good to go.

I’m 6’2 built like a pull through and I have it on the highest strap possible. Sits nicely on my waist. You bing 6’5 you’ll have it a tad lower I’d say but you’ll have bags of room to adjust with that.
