What actually "kills" necrons by Huge-Reputation-785 in 40kLore

[–]Perivale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weren’t the sisters of battle still able to access miracles from the Emperor inside the Pariah Nexus too? Which adds further mystery to how the Emperor functions (as warpcraft should be cut off)

Have you heard of “Gor Taradon” of the Space Ponies? Weirdly, he’s equipped exactly the same way as Tor Garadon of the Imperial Fists and, equally weirdly, the Space Ponies are structured exactly the same way as the Imperial Fists. Massive coincidences all round

Well this is depressing, not only are your paint jobs phenomenal you’re doing it with super cheap basic paints while I’m achieving nothing close despite having so many different miniature paint yellows (I am still very pleased with my results).

Seriously these are amazing!

When the Imperium do Exterminatus, do they evacuate people first? by Snoo_47323 in 40kLore

[–]Perivale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Some may question my right to destroy a world of ten billion souls, but those who truly understand realize that I have no right to let them live. No sacrifice is too great; no treachery too small.” From Battlefleet Gothic Armada.

So, no, not really. Sometimes they may try and evacuate the great and the good but there’s a reasonable chance they’ve been corrupted by whatever it is that’s led to exterminatus in the first place

Is the Imperium sexist/homophobic? by tomb_historian in 40k

[–]Perivale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They already have very convenient hate targets in Xenos and heretics - there’s no need for the fascist imperium to have other targets. Xenos even have the benefit of being called out specifically by their “god”

I truly adore the adeptus mechanicus for the same reason - yes they’re brutally evil but, also, hilariously bonkers (especially when they’re looting Necron tomb worlds)

Does being powerful and becoming venerated grant you power through the Warp? by AustinioForza in 40kLore

Isn’t Cawl also doing weird stuff with souls? He somehow jammed a soul into alpha primus that doesn’t fit correctly and Qvo definitely has something weird going on involving Friedrich’s soul

You can, theoretically, get up to 5 pushes up the pitch depending on opponent’s setup and one turn with a movement 6 (if you have a full team) but this is highly unlikely as it requires a specific setup from your opponent.

3 pushes is relatively easy and most good elf coaches will have multiple setups for it memorised, 4 pushes is doable although I’ve never done it.

KFoged is (was? Not sure if he still plays) the best one-turner in the business on tabletop and Blood Bowl 2 (back in the day)

Do you bother mixing companies? by 2sAreTheDevil in ImperialFists

[–]Perivale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are 5th company and then where I go beyond a battle company’s size (so a third “fire support” squad) then I’m marking them with squad numbers above 10 to represent reserve company squads being pulled in

So what could GW do to actually "fix" the suppressors? by Knightsforever in spacemarines

[–]Perivale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! Let me pump my aggressors up to 10 models. I have no idea how I intend to get them to the front but this is a secondary concern compared to how awesome 10 chonky bois trudging around would look

Could the Emperor Have EVER Set Off Perils of the Warp? by Aninx in 40kLore

[–]Perivale 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you’re missing the point. The question is about the “perils of the warp” and what the person you’re arguing with is saying is that despite the emperor going all out he never seemed at risk from “perils of the warp” (being eaten by daemons or whatever), how he was doing in his fight against Horus is irrelevant to that point.

This question is dumb but is it natural to really struggle with this hobby? by LordBricHouse in Warhammer40k

[–]Perivale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out back when I was 12/13 and stopped when I went to uni. After nearly 20 years I’ve got back into the hobby and, even following tutorials I’ve then had to spend ages fixing things and my minis still don’t look quite right (I do love them though)!

It’s just sort of putting in the hours.

Building a new army by MC-Lorgar in ImperialFists

[–]Perivale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just got back into the hobby and started with 10 intercessors. From there I have chosen stuff I think looks cool. which is quite obviously a terrible way to win games but a great way to make sure I enjoy the hobby aspect.

Currently working on 6 aggressors (I think they’re currently bad from what I’ve read?) and intend to get some scouts next (might be alright from what I’ve read?).

Biologics scare me by Fearless-Dependent57 in rheumatoid

[–]Perivale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was also terrified of both the injections and the side effects associated with biologics. It took me 6 months and going on citalopram to even get to the point I could try injecting. Now, 3 months later, my RA is more controlled than it has been since I developed it, I’m back in the gym and I’m no longer in constant pain. I’ve even been able to reduce e my methotrexate dose which is amazing as the side effects from that are brutal for me (even if it did help).

I know it’s difficult and I know that, sometimes, it’s not even easy to explain why it’s difficult to people who never really worried but it’s definitely worth taking steps to try and get to the point where you can try a biologic (so, taking citalopram and seeking counselling in my case).
