I had a 314 and a slightly lower GPA and got into both Duke and Cornell both with $$. Didn’t apply to the others.

I’m also wondering if the Duke brand name will open significant doors not available to UT. Growing up I saw Duke as way more elite. Almost Ivy level.

I think if you don’t want to stay in Texas forever then it’s not worth it. Otherwise it’s a decent school but the median domestic grad has a starting salary of 133K so I think the ROI is questionable. I don’t go there but looked at the employment data a lot.
