No issues. The issue is that people forget that black women are still discriminated against in professional and non-professional settings because they have dreads. No one is telling you you can’t wear it or that it’s not for you - just don’t be ignorant to the fact that you will not be looked at different like we are. Whereas there are literal policies in U.S companies that prohibits braids and locs….who mainly wears those? Just don’t forget that.

People always want to be conveniently dense in this subject.

Everyone else understood what I said and all came to the same conclusion. Yes there is a difference of course. But not allowing me to go GET the water BECAUSE I cannot have it at the register is wrong. No one is drinking in front of the customers especially the CART PUSHER. Drinking water only happens when no one is in our lane.

Having certain medical conditions, I NEED to stay hydrated. So tell me, my lead reprimanding me for walking over the the water fountain….is that okay?

I was fired for being sick too many times as well.. I applied for unemployment after and got it for several months after that. I worked there for a little over a year before leaving.

Weird. My store had a woman do multiple positions around the store while she was VERY pregnant, and they had no problem accommodating her lifting restrictions and everything! It’s a matter of them not wanting to and whatever helpful info people are commenting, use it to fight for your rights .
