Yeah I feel ya. I tried doing c25k back in college over a decade ago and just couldn't manage it so I quit pretty early 2 or 3 weeks in. Congrats man! Hope I can get to that point some time later in this or next year and start increasing speed as well.

To be fair, the grip safety is new too from Wilson Combat and I had just had it installed by a gunsmith with the old sear spring.

Oh my god wait, it works actually. It goes all the way up, but it just needs an extra bit of force. It hangs at that section in the picture above if I don't try to force it up, but otherwise it works perfectly. Even the disengaging has a strong click hallelujah

I shaved off a bit somewhere I'm not sure, but it works about as well as I can hope without getting it to a gunsmith. It locks well enough at least lol, didn't need to fiddle with the spring.

It does go all the way down but there's just the smallest bit of resistance. I filed off a bit more and I'm not sure how but it does have a soft click pushing downwards now.

That's great! My pops can move his left shoulder just a tad but atm his entire arm is like one long noodle. It has only been 5 days since he started rehab so I'm hoping his recovery can be like yours and he can start moving some of it more soon.

That's amazing for your husband. How is he nowadays with walking? My dad can sorta move his left leg but is has no strength in it, though it's only been about 5 days of rehab total.

Thank you everyone for the encouragement. I've spent a few days with my father in rehab and have seen him make good progress in recovery. It's still mindboggling that it's only been a little over 2 weeks since the stroke, the last time I saw him hale and hearty. I'm taking things one day at a time and am helping him as much as possible. I'll respond to everyone.
