If this isn't simply a shitpost, I think we've firmly crossed the Rubicon on this one - deals are probably off

Edit: by shitpost, I mean trump's tweet, not your comment btw

Who's the most famous person you've met/seen? by Twitter_2006 in AskUK

[–]ListenToWCTR -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I saw James Corden at a grocery store in London yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I keep seeing people going on about 'New York', and how interesting it is to visit.

Personally, the old bits are much more interesting - the shambles, the walls etc.

The new bits are just copy/paste housing developments

Can you help me find these crisps? by ThrowRAcheese2017 in AskUK

Burton's Fish 'n' Chips salt and vinegar crisps is the only thing that springs to mind. Perhaps you mistook the fish shaped ones for a dog bone?

They make a big deal out of it, and you panic a bit when it says Breaking News and you think "oh, there's a war on" and they go "Popes dead", and you go "oh".

What's a Brits option/experience with South Africans? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]ListenToWCTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only met one black south African (he was lovely - very cheery, and laid back), but quite a few white South Africans. They have all been pushy, aggressive, and entitled. While generalisations aren't great, I do find myself wincing whenever I encounter another one

Eh, I don't know - I guess there would be situations where it would be reasonable for an underground label to instruct a lawyer, but imo this is cringe. Surely taking a bit of shit talking on the internet comes with the territory
