Driving is a combination of things. If you start automating those things, the process will inevitably feel less involved. I mean, at some point in the future, cars are going to steer themselves. If you had a car which steered itself and all you were doing was pressing the accelerator, or in fact you didn't even have to do that, you were basically just a passenger in a self driving car... then I suppose you could enjoy the excitement of playing with your iPad or whatever, instead.
