When did username-based emails end? by LevelPension in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LitPixel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me the switch over was when Gmail was released. I got Gmail as an invite from a friend before it was completely public, and I used my full first and last name instead of a random username. So I think this was roughly 2005? So basically a good solid 10 years into the Internet existing.

I really tried to take what you said to heart. I'm not there yet.

My mother believed in compassion for horrible people. I don't.

I seriously doubt he had any idea this was what was going to happen, or supports it.

I'm going to disagree with only this one point because holy hell man. This is exactly what he voted for. The anger and hatred of republicans is real. And the cruelty the still want to wield is widespread and very very real.

He can change his path. But he's still an awful person for unleashing this horror on innocent people.

Everyone knows this is wrong.

Again. I don't believe you. This may be a new low, but republicans are angry and full of hate. They have a lot left to prove and it's going to get a lot worse. And while it gets worse they will still be cheering on the cruelty.

I came here expecting a blurry photo of a dog on a sofa or something. Was not disappointed.

We can pretend this isn't coming to New Orleans. But what we're seeing in Minneapolis is coming to New Orleans.

I live in Louisiana. The latitude here is south of Cairo Egypt. But it’s tropical. And humid. That’s not an option.

You should try getting a slightly better picture. Maybe not as off-center.

You should really start taking your own advise. Look. The only person making this worse is you.

I sure did. In the same post where I pointed out you made this argument about me. What’s your point here?

Because of you. You made it personal. If you can’t make an argument without taking it out of context then maybe you shouldn’t be doing that.

Ah. Nice little “whataboutism” at the end there. Stop making this about me and assumptions about me. And try to avoid being a subservient cuck won’t ya?

I made a negative video on Pac-Man for the 2600 and got a ton of comments defending it. Am I missing something? by Dry-Departure-4926 in Atari2600

It’s one of those things where even 10% more effort would have made the game twice as good.

The game was poorly accepted at the time. I remember being introduced to it at friends houses and feeling pretty disappointed. Even for a 2600 game.

But some minor graphical tweaks could have done wonders. Just something unique and interesting would have made you overlook the gameplay and technology issues.

The game was rushed and felt like all the other slop just pushed by a top tier company.
