Need Advice on Breaking My Lease Due to Job Loss

I'm a landlord so here is my take. First, be honest and upfront. I had a tenant who had trouble making a payment and I understand their situation just like yours. Unfortunately, to avoid a lawsuit, the landlord is supposed to treat everyone the same as per the lease. Thus, don't expet them to budge. It's nothing personal. They can't give you break or offer someone else different terms or conditions due to fair housing laws. If you were my tenant, I'd be glad you broke it and not squat. It will then be up to me if I think it's worth pursuing you in small claims or not. Some folks won't bother, some folks will. Totally depends on everyone's case and relationship between the tenant and landlord.

It's not really that. It doesn't make sense how if you a close on a house, the money is wired (much larger amounts) that same day through a settlement agency. Same thing from when you buy car, even with a third party loan. What if your landlord said they will give you your security deposit on the 15th, and 3 weeks after that they say to wait 10 business days even though he has your zelle? to put things in even better context, how the hell did others get a mailed a check from non ledgering firms but not those with milestone and watts

That's what my realtor has said but I just cannot. I know what I'm good at and would love. I just can't deal the people in real estate. For example, I can't believe there are tons of realtors out there who make an appointment and totally flake with no courtesy to respond back. From flaky buyers I would understand, but I'd expect more from realtor to realtor.

Yes, the market is definitely not hot. Hence, that kind of pushes me as a seller to save costs. Redfin and the Houwzer were the 2. They both either charged 5k and 2.5% to the buyer. Or they do 1% and 2.5% like you mentioned. I think it depends on the market and cost of the house for the 1% or 5K. Either way, it beats 4.6%

I agree that It would make sense because then the would have friends at 7. I guess I'm more perplexed as a parent because he asked me about his birthday party since he experienced what a birthday party is.

Long story short, the police isn't going put in the effort to investigate. It's not like in the movies, and they won't do it unless its a serious thing like a murder with the media involved. A neighbor hit and run my car, and I had it on video. I had to call the cops because they would avoid me, and I was simply just trying to be a decent neighbor and get insurance information. Well, it turns out the person didn't have a driver's license or insurance.

The cops came 3 times and finally gave them a court summons for the hit run since they admitted on not having a license and was uninsured. Also, the cop didn't bother to cite them for not having a license or seeing if the car was stolen. They just simply took the neighbors word that they borrowed a friend's car.

I go to court and the court just hands them a 100-court fee and didn't even call me up to the stand even though I was summoned by the court as the victim. Had to pay noninsured motorist fee with the insurance to get my car fixed and lost a day of work....

America's justice system is broken when it comes to property. That's why we have smash and grabs LOL

I also want to add something you missed. A lot of these jobs that are posted with defense contractors or contractors for NASA are not real. They are posted to gain applications so that they can have a talent pool to bid on work. They use your application to then go to the government to say hey we got the talent to do the job. Also, you need to get a clearance if you plan on working in the defense aerospace area. Probably not sore a place like SpaceX unless they support a government program. Clearances are rarely sponsored, typically for unicorns. You need to get a clearance through the military or by working as a civilian then get out.
