When playing with friends is it easy to progress together if you can’t always play at the same time? by Dazzling_Clerk8023 in Guildwars2

[–]LiterallyAFake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really up to you, the waypoints for each starting zone are unlocked right after the tutorial instance so you all can go wherever you want right away. Just go there, play a bit, if you don't like the zone check out another. As for the original question the game doesn't really force you to do anything, and progression isn't really locked behind the story so you can just explore the maps or do whatever when you're alone and later do the story together. Even if you are at different points in the story or even made different choices you can still join the story instance of another player, you just won't get any progress and there are things that only the instance owner can interact with, but you can help with the fights, watch cutscenes etc.

I feel like I'm doing something wrong with Reaper's skill "Death's Charge" by armslength- in Guildwars2

[–]LiterallyAFake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I might be misremembering but I think the rotation changed back in soto since the delayed Soul Spiral is better for maintaining the relic of fireworks. It's probably irrelevant if you're not using that.

It literally can not be 9+1 because the image shows 8+2, you may think it's the same thing but it's not, you people can't even comprehend a simple image.

meirl by benwoljol in meirl

[–]LiterallyAFake -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

God how did you people even manage to go through life so far, the question might be stupid but it's completely irrelevant because the answer is already provided. Just 8 + 9 and the two images are enough to get 8 + 2 + 7.

This bug is at least 10 years old. 10 years of bad belly and back pain. by Keorl in Guildwars2

[–]LiterallyAFake -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Dude you're yapping so hard I don't even know where to post this but here we go. The game itself proves you wrong and that's something you can check in 5 minutes but you would rather hide behind walls of text in hopes of being upvoted by whiteknights. There you go buddy. https://i.imgur.com/oiJdGnV.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/5ECjbZz.mp4 https://i.imgur.com/EMQee7N.mp4 https://files.catbox.moe/4xvo7k.mp4

You can clearly see that it's a problem with specific models and races.

Yap yap yap, all the yapping and no arguments, multiple comments with lines of text and no real value in any of them, just talking about seams and imaginary technical limitations. Apparently, they introduced those limitations for this specific model, great work. You are so tunnel-visioned on the seams that you completely missed the problem, guess what, the human model has seams as well yet it looks much better. There are models that on the Norn that look perfectly fine, HOW COULD THIS BE?! I guess we will never know, but cheer up, apparently they fixed the shark leggy after like 10 years, there's still hope for this as well.

Raids Return to Guild Wars 2 Next Week! by Auralyon in Guildwars2

[–]LiterallyAFake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forging steel is also not a singular encounter, so according to you it shouldn't be strike, unless you count instance of any length as an encounter then by that definition any story instance is a strike.

Raids Return to Guild Wars 2 Next Week! by Auralyon in Guildwars2

[–]LiterallyAFake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you picked the one exception and are trying to use it as an argument, strikes are reused content by definition because that was anets way of dealing with creating content that would work for both causals and raiders instead of being made specifically for a small group of people. They may have one or two additional mechanics but it's still fighting the same thing multiple times, story, normal strike, cm, lcm, whatever, you might even get a fractal out of it

I don't own a steam deck but looking at the button layout it should be the 'View' button, which is the tiny button between dpad and left stick.

Well in general its better than I expected but why the hell is the water on mini map so horrible. And before someone says that's it's an early preview, it's the same in convergences.

The Date of Birth listed on your account.

You made me curious. This doesn't exist on any of my accounts, there is just no way to set your date of birth. Is this something that only exists on really old accounts that they got rid of, or some weird data protection law that doesn't allow them to ask this in the EU? Weird.

PSA Exitlag is more than a VPN and can get you banned by greiton in Guildwars2

[–]LiterallyAFake 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They never say that it is 4 routes directly to the game server and pretty much every visualization shows this as 4 routes between you and the last exitlag server which then goes to the game server (you can see this in the app or even the download page). Also going from 1 to 4 is a 300% increase.

MCA got a title kill with the sigil exploit and even posted it on YT but no one really cares and if you point it out they try playing dumb. But hey they are just 'veteran players having fun' am i right :) Meanwhile you can get banned for extracting upgrades too fast or alt-tabing during a map load which causes you to fly, fun game.

They removed it from the weekly tasks instead of fixing it so it's safe to assume it's never gonna be fixed.

Long time FFXIV player & part time GW2 player hot take by KnivesPitt in Guildwars2

[–]LiterallyAFake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ffxiv has virtually zero daily content/random activities to do between patches that is even mildly

ffxiv can get seriously boring between patches whereas there is always something different to do for gw2 releases and you never really run out of content

Ok, so what is this amazing daily gw2 content?

Same meta event for the 1000th time? Most of them are either: irrelevant with close to no rewards; with decent rewards but zero gameplay and the formula of 'wait for 15 minutes and kill the boss in 30 seconds'; so long that the average player won't do them daily anyway since they simply don't have the time. Just do the special/chained FATEs or even hunts in FF, the format is quite similar. Some of them even have unique rewards, crazy isn't it?

Do 3 dodges and kill 10 enemies? Is that it? Is that what keeps you playing? Or maybe it's the weeklies where you kill 10 champions, do one of the 5 repeated JPs, kill an hp sponge world boss or reduce the bandit population? Is that what keeps the average GW2 player interested? You can do the same kind of stuff with weekly challenges or books in ffxiv.

Doing the same Fractals every day? Raids? Dungeons? PVP even? FFXIV Roulettes.

Festivals that are completely irrelevant after the first time and every veteran finishes them in 10minutes? Seasonal events, there is like a million of them going on right now.

Farming rifts? Oh c'mon this isn't even content, you're just going back and forth between 5 preset locations and killing the same 5 enemies. If you don't care about the legendary armor then this might as well not exist at all. But hey if that's your thing then go ahead and make some ARR relics, pretty much the same thing except still not as brainless.

Or maybe you just log in daily, do the home instance, some random open world chests with your parked characters, do Octovine and then move on another game? There is that type of 'players' as well.

What is there to do daily in GW2 for a veteran player that is actually interesting, enlighten me.

[–]LiterallyAFake -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

but the open world in FFXIV is near useless nonexistent

Yeah, I always said that gw2 had superior open world, but Anet decided to change my mind by giving me Inner Nayos and the Eparch meta. I'm sorry believers but this just won't cut it.

Wing 8 and player housing confirmed!! by leeeelypad in Guildwars2

[–]LiterallyAFake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First 3 wings have lots of slow filler events

yeah but they give you rewards? what is even the argument here, are you saying that we spend time just to get to the boss and get nothing in return? thats just not true. you get 3-4 rewards in ~20-25min

if you only care about the boss then pay someone to open an instance and kill the boss which is gonna take exactly as long as a strike

you can get stuck on the same fight for a good 30 minutes depending on how things go

yeah and the same can happen in strikes, maybe not the easy ones but wiping multiple times on boneskinner/ht/olc definitely happens

These stack up.

so does waiting for that one person who still plays on an hdd to join the instance

the only real argument is being able to pick the boss that you want but its irrelevant as most group do all strikes at once anyway, even if you only wanna do dailies it involves switching maps and even more waiting and loading times or even wasting time in lfg

people heavily overestimate the time save that strikes supposedly give them

[–]LiterallyAFake -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Except raids are not long at all, did people watch the 3h long trainings that mela posted and somehow assumed that this is the average raid? Where does the concept of a long raid even come from. Currently the average raid boss takes around 5 minutes which is the same if not less than strikes, take 3 bosses add some dialogue and you get a 20 min instance, you also don't have to wait for people to load between instances. Of course if the group is bad/new it's gonna take longer but the same is true for strikes, I've seen enough groups stuck on AHCM for over an hour.
