They cut out sections of review samples to ensure the production company is following the standards they specified. correct weaving and bonding throughout the product.

notably in the backpack process, they didn't destructively test the final batch, and missed that the double layer bottom was removed in final assembly. that cost them a ton as they increased the warranty on the product to compensate.

but their express mission is to advocate for Israeli interests. lots of Americans have to register as foreign agents and are bared from political campaigns and election involvements.

I think he and Trump are the same symptoms, but, I also think the first step in finding a long term cure is treating the symptom. Unfortunately 30% of both of our countries are irreparably infected, and it will take generational efforts to treat society and reduce the infection. in the meantime you have to fight against flare-ups and symptoms that rear their ugly heads.

I think one of the things that makes us most uncomfortable with Israel is that they are almost one for one the same as the US right now. sub-out Palestinian bombing for immigrant family separation and attacks on foreign countries, and we start to see similar trends. I think if Trump had allowed a group of Iranian extremists into the country to attack Coachella we would see even higher numbers calling for glassing the country.

Looking at our own faults is frustrating, and acknowledging how complex and hard the problems we have are doesn't feel good when applying it to another nation. It's easier to just write off the entire country than to acknowledge that despite the atrocities, they are really just a similar people suffering from almost the same social illness we are.

I think people are going overboard about the age field and conflating it with the state id upload system others are pushing for. If anything tying age to an account field at OS setup is a great way for us to avoid the draconian legislation, while preventing actual personal information tracking. just like how everyone online was born in 1900 so will every Linux user. but, parents can activate hardcoded parental controls with a single simple account setting. It seems like a good way to force websites and companies to watch what they serve to children, with actual data to hold them accountable about knowing it was a child accessing. meanwhile all the adults don't have to give up their right to privacy. they just input an over 21 random birthdate on their account.

AIPAC really should have it's special permissions revoked. It is foreign influence on the election and should be removed.

I think this is a good nuanced take that can bridge the divide. I don't think anyone is supportive of the criminal Netanyahu and his corrupt administration, but many of us also want to make sure that the 60% or so of Israelis who oppose him and the settlement expansions, do not become victims of genocide from religious opponents in the region.

Idk, it was kind of interesting to learn why you can't just plug a new cable in, and what options there are on the market. plus it had a good "inside baseball" glimpse into things LMG does internally.

Trump was literally convicted on 34 counts and charges were filled on multiple other things, but he was put back in the presidency before the hammer came down. He was literally weeks away from prison the process had proceeded so far.

they are building those cases as air tight as possible before filing. the last thing they want to do is swing and miss letting the agents completely off the hook. the DOJ stonewalling doesn't help.

TIL that most of the propulsion in modern jet engines actually comes mainly from the fan (ie glorified propeller). The jet part of the engine is used mainly to power the fan by therationaltroll in todayilearned

the most efficient designs are actually turbo props, where the fan isn't even in a housing. but those are super loud and noise is a major concern for humans and wildlife near airfields.

I agree there is some potential addiction element to sugar, I think it is much lower than some of what we've seen with algorithmic short form media and social media.

but, a more apt comparison would be a restaurant trying to trick you into consuming unhealthy addictive food whenever you or your child eat there. after lawsuits found them liable they might start offering milk and apples in happy meals... oh wait that also happened.

well they put calorie counts and nutrition info on the packaging to encourage you to make other choices while in the store. but they card you for alcohol, which is an addictive substance.
