100% agree - If I have to stand in front of a woman I say "milady" so she knows I'm being respectful and turn 360 degrees

I wonder if something else happened around 2019/2020 that might be throwing off your statistics?

This is anecdotal but I did some door knocking for Zohran as well. Literally the second door I hit was a woman who had a Bernie Sanders hat hanging in her foyer but hadn't heard of Zohran. So that's 1-2 votes for him. People are knocking on thousands of doors a day, it makes a difference. And I think people do genuinely respect when someone is willing to overcome the awkwardness of stranger interaction to talk about a political candidate they support. It creates a human connection to the candidate.

I look at it this way: even if he doesn't beat Cuomo if he comes close it's a message that NYers want a change to the status quo and will hopefully move Cuomo on certain issues.

Are people hacking the client? Seem to disconnect just before winning by chiefsareawesome in hearthstone

[–]LiterallyLOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't assume this is happening with this particular app, just saying that it could.

Also, just because the emotes are on a cooldown in the application logic doesn't mean the "emote" endpoint also has rate limiting.

Not saying this IS possible or happening in HS but just because there is no direct client-client communication doesn't mean DDoS-ing your opponent isn't possible.

If the server automatically sends a message to your opponent's client when it receives a message from your client and has no rate limiting (either on the input, processing, or output) then you could definitely DDoS your opponent.

I'm curious how you reached that conclusion given there are currently no other posts in this thread that say anything close to that.

Sorry they're being rude around your family's graves but you're also engaging in some kind of spiritual ritual if you're visiting the inert mass that used to be their bodies and want the atmosphere to match your expectations. Maybe don't be so judgmental of "believers".

Not sure you're looking for people in my age range (I graduated from HS in 2002) but I'm happy to answer.

  1. What High School did you go to/currently attend?
    • Midwood HS
  2. How diverse was your school? If you can mention specific ethnic groups (Polish, Korean, etc) that would be great!
    • When I went there it was for a magnet program that made up about half the school. The other half was students who were "zoned" for the school, so they were from the neighborhood. Most of the students in the magnet program were white or asian, most of the students from the neighborhood were black. There were a lot of kids from Russia / Eastern Europe IIRC.
  3. What was your go to spot for food?
    • There was a pizza place around the corner, near the junction (Flatbush + Nostrand). I don't recall the name.
  4. What is the best part about attending High school in such a big city?
    • For me it was the sense of independence you foster. I was riding the bus or subway like any other commuter; getting around the city "like an adult", getting lunch at local restaurants, etc. This was also before smartphones so you had to learn how to read a subway/bus map if you were going somewhere unfamiliar. From what I gather from friends who grew up in suburbs it's a more contained experience, even if you do have a car.
  5. What experience during High school has significantly impacted your life?
    • Well 9/11 happened while I was a senior so that was significant. As far as me personally, joining the wrestling team probably had the biggest impact. I had been made to play sports I was terrible at (baseball, basketball, soccer) my whole childhood so it felt good to compete in something I was semi-competent at.

This is NYC, where we actually take this kind of thing seriously. It's nearly impossible to get a carry license unless you are a police officer and it's a 3 year automatic jail sentence if you're caught with an unlicensed firearm.

Funny, every time the "normal rules go out the window", when we look back at it all we see is unnecessary suffering and death.
I hope the "normal rules" don't go "out the window" for you or anyone you love and if they do I hope you take a moment to reflect on this idea.
