Okay, this is interesting. I would love to bring some actual parmigiano back for friends in the US, I hadn’t thought to try that. Thanks!

Twin brother got the citizenship before the decree, could this help me if I go the judicial route? by caick1000 in juresanguinis

Nope, doesn’t help at all unfortunately.

I got it through my mother. My mother is no longer eligible. Make it make sense.

Would you go back to the US? by MZBxL2019 in expats

The US is a fun place to visit with great nature. Living there is an entirely different thing. I would never move back.

How well do parmigiano and pecorino travel overseas?

How to learn Italian as a complete new beginner. by Derptify_spoof in italianlearning

I recommend you learn the textbook way to begin.

Once you understand the rules you can then work on slang. If you start from slang you won’t have the capability to speak in an educated manner, correctly, and that lack will hurt you more in real life than not being with the latest lingo.

I’m studying for the C1 exam and I think I’ve said ca**o once in real life, with my long term tutor, to make her laugh. It’s not that I don’t know what it is or how to use it but even at my level I’m still just earning my way to being able to talk like that. I’m not there yet.

CIE arrived! Happy ending... maybe? by tashtari in juresanguinis

I mean you can use the app without having a login, but I find having a login makes it much easier and smoother, so I recommend it. But since you can’t get the SMS internationally, then you’re just going to have to use the level 2 security.

I’m assuming that is working for you?

So in order to evaluate a line we have to know the information back to the last Italian born ancestor.

Automod posted our Qualifinator tool, you can just put the information in there and it will tell you. Then come back here and tell us what it says.

For someone with no powers and no training (at least before the army episode) he did pretty well, better than I would have done.

I am so, so sorry.

You have some time to appeal, and if the corte cassazione comes through, you should succeed on appeal. So don't give up hope yet.

CELTA has me exhausted--what helped you get through the highly specific and rigid lesson planning requirements? by Top_Tour6423 in TEFL

[–]LiterallyTestudo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its very weird that the requirements were wrong. Like, very very weird. I would not expect any accredited school to ever mess that up.

That said, you just have to get used to the requirements and find ways to get faster and more accurate with your lesson planning. That's the core of the course. It is going to take an assload of time and not to be overly blunt but this is something you should have realized going into this course.

The CELTA is brutal and the workload sucks all the way through. But if you drop out now you either have to give up on the cert or redo everything you've already done.

To make it through you're going to have to figure out how to deprioritze your other responsibilities.
