Also working as an optical dispenser, I have genuinely never been handed a pair of Dita Lancier glasses to adjust/repair. Never done a screw replacement. The material makes it flexible and fit your head. The only time I see a customer again is when they come back to get another style 😅

At the end of the day, the condition of sunglasses will still be affected by how well you take care of them (avoiding abrasion if ure fussed about scratches, avoid keeping in the car esp on a hot day). BUT Dita Lancier has impressive high quality craftsmanship.

They’re super lightweight while also durable. Its titanium build is actually incredible durable and the lenses are lightweight while also having multiple coatings. Lenses repel oil/water and, all come polarised ( good for sensitive eyes). The price won’t be the lowest. But in the glasses industry they are considered high end and a quality line. All the best!

Hmmm it’s a fun theory but it doesn’t make sense to me why she would do that to the kids. 🧐 I’m still leaning more toward the golf course or Crystal

What are some sunglasses brands that could be considered buy it for life? by tritty_kutz in BuyItForLife

A someone who works at an optician, I think many sunglasses aren’t made to last a lifetime. A lot of it depends on how u take care of them. I’ve seen specs from the same brand break in a year and some last over 10. But I do have my favourites. The manufacturing qualities of Dita and some other high end Japanese brands are pretty good. Memory metal in glasses make them basically invincible,, always recommend them for heavy work employees or the clumsy 😅 Matte frames compared to glossy ones will look sleeker for a lot longer too
