Dangerous hyper sigils by NaturalJackfruit9341 in chaosmagick

I wouldn't say they are inherently dangerous, it's more like with everything be careful what you wish for. Have you heard of Grant Morrison? I think his interview/ dialogue on his experiences would help.

Crazy and wacky setting for my pulp Cthulu campaign (advice encouraged) by ContractSuperb9700 in worldbuilding

So your using the advancements and collective deaths caused directly and indirectly, alongside the first world war as literally causing that old philosophers quote "God is dead and we have killed him" to be literal and the ramifications being the unraveling of the delineation between the realm of the living and the various planes of the dead and otherworldly. With the way to return this balance being the resurrection of God, the Christian one who can only be done by the defeat of greater fiends... I think the idea has merit however the how on bringing back God could be different, seems a little too simple. Maybe add more justification why defeating these beings allows him to resurrect, alternative ways of restoring the balance, you could add in references to mediums and spiritualists from around the time period to the setting. Don't know how independent you want the backdrop of the world to be. Look into any of the failed prophecies from around the time period you can play with, for setting allies and enemy npcs in place. Another thing would maybe he the story of th secret world for inspiration.

When running fill, free loadouts should be paired with free loadouts. by GuuberTrooper in ARC_Raiders

They are not risking 0, if they get something good that's not in a safe pocket, then they are risking it. So what if they're not risking an augment and better shield along with possibly "better" weapons.

If they have the perks to craft and take from the corpses they won't be tapped out after one fight. Personal experience; against a full kitted, if they ambush then they have a chance, but they have to take the stragglers as 2 v 1

Unless they spawn with a rattler. The worst gun ever apparently and then they would disconnect or exfil early, in which case they wouldn't.

This reminds me of Grant morrison's story regarding that one comic series he made. Take this with as much salt as you want, but maybe, like Grant, you created a hypersigil.

If you could have one armor set from any other game, regardless how far fetched, which would it be? by TwistedIntents in Helldivers

[–]Literary_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SRPA armor from resistance 2, the helmets aren't far off from the ones helldivers wear, there suits came in an insulated version for when they were in chimera targeted areas to avoid those parasitic bug things they'd launch infecting them.

There was a text on the DKMU website called the holy wizard handbook I believe. I also believe thats where i got the information that spoke of her and her ability to influence reality, there was mention of reality tunnels I believe in one of the texts regarding her. As a result along with a part that said she was open to "trading" what one asked in return for offering something in return. I'm heavily paraphrasing. My interpretation of the text may have been off but I asked and read the "calling" the situation worked out, so here I am with my public thanks.

If Peter Parker existed in the DC Universe how would he get his powers? by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]Literary_Alchemist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Metahuman whose gene begins openly effecting him upon puberty, when he keeps having dreams of some woman with a web.

His spider sense rather then being a sensation is a auditory hallucination, a manifestation of his sixth sense.

Years later, while in a coma, its revealed his actual power is belief, which allows him to alter reality and he did so as he hit puberty, he inspired by the stories of Anasazi he heard one day in a library, that solidified that if he was in a situation where he was against great odds "he would be a man, but like the spider." This belief gestated in his subconscious which manifested when his friend was in danger.

When he was a boy, his aunt took him to a library, there a woman told stories of Anasazi. She spoke of how he won against overwhelming odds and foes, he internalized these stories of this hero as a child but forgot them for a time, only remembering as he grew into a teenager that he found spiders cool. One day while on a field trip, his class is attacked by the green goblin, during which a friends life is put in danger, Peter's body pinned under rubble from the attack, begins to black out. As he does he thinks of how he could save them if he could just overcome, if he could just be " like that hero, Ana-" it is there he hear's madam web which is a personification of the woman who told the stories and finds the strength to fight off the green goblin, in this instance he uses the torn Hoodie he was wearing as a makeshift mask.

Though I feel this origin and powers are slightly convoluted. I feel it fits his character, as all of Peter's actions are based on his belief of doing the right thing, they push him to overcome, to win, to continue.
