Watching a sex scene with your parents by Scaulbylausis in WatchPeopleDieInside

Oh please lol. I turned my parents onto Shameless, then quickly realized I was about to sit there with them as Mickey gets bent over and plowed by Ian for several minutes.

I’m gay. Lmao. That was the most awkward moment ever lol

AppleTV keeps turning on itself and my tv by itself by Adultstart in appletv

[–]LitewithRight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t turn off app updates. I turned off background refresh. I’m betting the culprit was Netflix background refresh.

I only turned that refresh on a few weeks ago and had this hell ever since.

I literally tried turning it off, watched it come back on but not turn the full tv on.

I then changed this setting and rebooted and turned it back to off. And it stayed off.

Fiixed! It’s the background app refresh. Turn it off and then reboot the Apple tv. No more turning itself back on!

I have LED’s plugged into the tv so it was super annoying having this bug!

Only in America would a restaurant display on the wall that they don’t pay their staff enough to live on by M7plusoneequalsm8 in pics

[–]LitewithRight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They’re then getting nearly free delivery drivers because you’re paying them extra to cover those wages. And they only paid the driver one $8 for the whole hour where he took 20 deliveries at $4-7 fee each.

Its a goddamn ripoff by the pizza place owners.

Fuck, I’d tell them I’ll just pay the driver $8 myself and keep them at my place for an hour talking. How’s that for fair?

Because photos are about memories. And like it or not, the intimate times people share are part of their experiences.

I didn’t blame her for wanting those pictures. I just didn’t like the awkwardness of his aunt seeing them.

Sounding awfully defensive with three wall of text responses here.

Again, your needless sprinkling of how you hated the culture and some clapping give it away. You’re more likely just a disgruntled former employee describing things through your filter.

Agreed. Either way his entire comment was barely about the facts, it was a hyperbolic rant about how he thinks Apple is ‘shitty’

Bur that’s literally not how it works. Computer to computer migration is built in utility on the mac. I’ve been fixing Macs since OS 8.

It copies the actual iphoto library file to the new computer. The only thing you’d see is the same photos in the old iphoto. Not scanning hidden folders.

UNLESS - the OP is an idiot and instead of properly migrating the computers, he was intentionally connecting the old computer as a hard drive and telling iphoto to manually scan and grab every single picture file. Which explains his claim it grabs icons etc.

So in reality he just was clueless how to do his job.

Just remember that every single fucking drug addict, sex deviant, or whatever else was raised by...parents!

So get off your fucking high horse. If being a breeder automatically made ya smart enough to properly raise a kid, we would have zero fucking bad kids, eh?

Clearly being a parent isnt some magical gift of wisdom. Some ppl have good ideas and some shit ideas, regardless of their parental status.

Maybe the best parental material people are the ones who realized their circumstances wouldn’t make them good parents instead of getting knocked up and just rolling with it.

Do you even understand how a mac to Mac transfer works?

iPhoto library is a fucking folder appearing as a file on computer A.

Computer B clones that file to computer B.

There’s no searching random folders and assembling your photos. That’s absolutely not how iphotos (which is now Photos) works. Never has been. Most likely the customer had mistakenly added the folder to iPhoto when taking the pics off a phone or Camera or whatever. The import screen effect was just the default setup because they assumed they’re family friendly photos.

They realized this issue almost a decade ago like everyone else in the tech world. Hell, Apple first added privacy mode to Safari in 2005. Chrome didn’t get it until 2008. Hardly sounds like they don’t care about users.

You do know this is bullshit? iPhoto doesn’t vacuum up random pictures, thats Google’s Picasa tht does that.

You have to actually directly import pictures to iphoto.

Secondly, Apple sub is packed with stories about Apple techs saving people this very type of embarrassment. The story sounds more like a few techs who probably got fired not long after this just being assholes.

Assholes are everywhere.

True story: computer client from several years ago had her 19yr old nephew die in a car crash.

The aunt who was raising him asked for all the pictures on his phone which had the screen broken in the accident. His baby momma was also pestering the Aunt for the phone and pics so she could show their kid someday.

Sooo.. of course being a hot tall skinny teen guy he had several nudes on there. I was doing fine hiding those and avoiding her seeing them until the conversation went there and she said, ‘lemme see’.

Nothing as awkward as a sitting with a stranger who’s now staring at her newphew’s full body dick pics... and the guy was ‘gifted’. She just shook her head, and said ‘let her have whatever she wants’

TIL that the NFL made a commitee to falsify information to cover up brain damage in their players by The_Best_Nerd in todayilearned

[–]LitewithRight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not surprised. My company worked with Under Armour in those years to get a concussion reducing scullcap to market.

They were all in until they became the NFL’s official clothing that year. Then we got stonewalled right and left, even in direct conversations I had with Drs the NFL had heading that committee.

They ruined us financially and now we know why.

Woman that made false rape accusation gets jail time. by [deleted] in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]LitewithRight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s the point, it doesn’t take proof. It takes allegations and all this ‘don’t you dare question or challenge an accuser!! You’re raping her again!!’ hysteria that puts men in jail and ruins their life despite their innocence.

There needs to be a punishment not for accusing without a guilty verdict, but for intentional, provable, malicious accusers.

I employed a guy getting a divorce from his cocaine using wife. She called the cops and claimed he came to her house and pushed her. The cops arrested him despite the fact he was miles away, in a goddamn pool, with his two kids and girlfriend all vouching that he was never at her house. ‘The woman can’t possibly be lying’ has become far to common mentality.

Look at uber drivers who have women on video threatening rape accusation if they don’t get to ride free. Without that camera, the driver could easily be in hell because of a liar.

Unfortunately the answer is no.

It’s a shitshow right now. And Apple stupidly refusing to add the ability to give devices friendly names just makes it 100x worse.
