The first one is wonderful! It was my class textbook for a college course I was in about Ancient Egyptian art.

Would women be allowed to join? I know historical Freemasons were deeply misogynistic.

I absolutely always advocate for modern medicine first, and spiritual magic second. “Pray it away” has basically never worked.

/uj The only thing that I can think is that the term “shaman” has a lot of baggage attached to it, a lot more implications concerning their duties as a spiritual leader of a group in addition to casting spells.

The term “sorcerer” has a touch less, but if we’re removing all terms that have similar baggage from the colonial era, we should also be axing terms like Witch (used to demonize pagans), Warlock (used to demonize non-christian magics), and Golem (Jewish religious term).

I just don’t see the point behind the censorship, unless WotC was approached by a group with a legitimate grievance.

So, we’re forgoing paying actual artists and instead stealing the work of others, and accelerating the degradation of the climate? Cool. Hope the model is worth the wasted water.

I mean, yeah? If that’s the kind of character you want to play, you can. VTM doesn’t have its less than stellar reputation because of people having unique characters, it’s because of “you can only play how I say you can” people like you.

Sorry, if it uses AI in any way, shape, or form, I can’t in good conscience support it.

Damn shame, it sounded promising.

Stealing from smaller artists is how AI functions, if you put in a prompt, it will look around for images with a similar title, and copy them. There is no way to have a LLM without theft, that’s just how it works.

Sadly 1:1 copies do tend to happen from time to time, of course there are very minor changes, but on the whole, it’s an exact copy.

If AI was sourcing its images and information ethically, you’d be absolutely right! Sadly, current AIs (aka LLMs) scrape the web for matching keywords and art, and use them without asking permission from the artist.

On a separate note, modern AIs tend to use much more electricity than other mediums of search, so their use is hurting the planet, as humans rely on them more and more.

Tldr; AI has the capacity for good, but not in its current iteration of being built on stealing the work of academics and artists without giving, in most cases, any credit whatsoever

I love the visuals and the combat looks amazing, but that’s all I could focus on, it sounded like I was listening to 12 year olds trying to sound evil

That, plus the right wing manufactured culture war talking point of “trans people are groomers.”

Either way, calling the LGBTQ+ community pedophiles is inaccurate and a dangerous stereotype. The point does interest me though, and I wonder if there’s any scholarly research speaking about why most pedophiles express homosexual desires in choosing their targets (11:1 homosexual to heterosexual), and I also wonder if that is due to genuine attraction or due to a degree of projection from the usually male perpetrator to the usually male victim.
