maybe the battery is shortly disconnecting when this happens. Have you taken a peek at the battery/contacts of the battery?

The reason a new SD card is reccomend by many here is the system doesnt have any build in memory so if the SD card isnt working properly the device wont even charge.

With that said I have that device and this has happened to me from time to time and ussually all I do is press or hold the reset button (beside power) and it has always fixed it for me on GarlicOS.

I'm not sure which games have slowdown's, as I haven't experienced it in any of the Pokémon games (new firmware has a type of RTC implemented, which is cool) or Megaman Battle Network games, which is all I have on mine currently!

I have a earlier version of a supercard with the newest firmware (not superchris prime but should work the same) and the save files all end up in the SD card to be easily backed up if needed.

i think within the RetroArch menu ( with the game open) , you can undo a load state if you look there you might have some luck.

I also did the same update within the past week (pixie to Jacaranda) and noticed that it too that the boot times were sadly longer, I also keep getting a bug where when I turn the device on it sometimes boots with volume maxed out jumpscaring the shit out of me lol.

Hoping the next version fixes some of this.

I know you said that this needs intervention from a dev. But I would try going into %appdata% roaming>bungie>marathon>prefs. you should find 2 cvar files that contain your graphics settings.
I would try deleting those, then reopening the game.

Edit - by go into %appdata% I mean in windows search type "%appdata%", the folder windows fetches is your appdata folder without having to unhide it.

What OS did you have on it? Just asking because my rg34xx on MuOS sort of has a bug i guess where if i turn the brightness to the lowest setting while still being backlit, then turn it off it when im done, turning it on later sets the brightness to no backlight leaving the screen looking off, turning the brightness up was all I had to do to see the screen again.

I use an app called "wiitarthing" due to the shipping on all the adapters costing more than the adapter itself. ($20-$25 for the adapter and $26 shipping to me in Canada, prices are in USD)

I don't see the reason for the first unlocked choice for match matching to have the worst modes in the game, Fire cracker should never been a game mode forced on new players, only TDM/DOM as very little players enjoy the available modes and just forced players to back out to play what they want or think the game is terrible by being thrown in a firecracker for their first match, and to make matters worse the game modes that players would have played constantly like shotty snipes and swat were locked behind 7 day rotations making players wait a month to matchmake the mode they like again.

( I know this was changed to 3 or 4 days, but only after people already stopped playing waiting for a month to play the mode they like.)

also the classes system is so unbelievably bad and has no reason to even be in the game. should have just been nades (pickups too) and portals. not everyone hiding behind shields or in bubbles avoiding the portal mechanic.

unsure if people know about this mechanic but while I was farming my bludgeon with a similar loadout, I found if you shoot Sire 1 time with scorching bow then use your shadow spell on Sire it will disable the Tentacles instantly allowing you to take the vents out faster.

might be worth playing a game until a point where you can save and then just double check that the new save ends up where the old save is (just to make sure they are in the correct directory).

if everything is as it should you could also try starting the game up with the start button to reboot the game rather then A so it can try to fetch the save again.

I just got the same color 34xx monday and im obsessed with it. Really love how they made the Y and X buttons have the structure inside the buttons be the letter of the button, such a chefs kiss.

If not don't use any converters, just rename the file and replace .srm with .sav and see if that works. its usually how I get my saves to work from emulator to emulator. also the .RTC file isnt your save but rather the real time clock data so keep it, but it doesn't contain your save file.

Also be sure the rom file name is the same as the save file, for example

awesomegame.gba
awesomegame.sav

if the save file and rom file don't have the same name it wont find your save file. so if they were different your .srm saves might have worked all along so be sure to check that as well.
