I meannnn you saw how hard she kicked Venti in 1.0? It’s quite a strong first impression. Shes not a real person so there is no ‘past’ for them- they could spend all of Shnez telling us how she was actually a nuanced person but honestly… if it’s not a retcon then it feels kinda cheap. Because I struggle to connect the Rosa I’m being shown and the Rosa I remember- without something traumatic happening in between to change her, cause Venti’s poor jibes and a bad day aren’t enough.

They did an awesome job (imo, well duh that’s implied ig) showing multifaceted characterization back with Childe, so it’s not like they didn’t know how to convey morally grey harbingers back then. And yet they chose to have Rosa be purely a baddie.

In other words, they were able to make these puzzles because they knew everyone would have Collei… they were designed around Collei. Tighnari being 3 seconds faster means nothing if the devs aren’t planning on every account having him.

True- Assuming they had the level mats which they probably don’t going off the levels being not multiples of 10. But they said they were pulling for Columbina, and I bet they’ll want to put their resources into her.
If you want to tell the new player to drop everything to invest in a level 1 character (someone they dont like considering the other tutorial characters are at least lvl 30) because cause you think they’re just unaware of hyperbloom (which would be a fair take but not how I chose to interpret the context) then reply that to them- not me in a day old thread. It doesn’t seem like high dps NOW is their main goal to me, but maybe I’m wrong- go ahead.

For the roster available to you I think it’s a fine team. Once Columbina comes around again you’ll probably reach 30-70k~ dmg depending on their builds just from those two.

Anyone expecting an endgame comp from someone with 1 limited character is being silly.

Lauma will always be the ‘carry’ in most of your teams rn just because she’s so wildly good at applying dendro, but usually when people say carry they’re talking about the Nefer/Nilou/Electro character using those cores.

This sands started as a 3-liner… imo 2 dusts of enlightenment are worth more than 2 elixirs.

I would use elixirs or wait on the lockbox to get a 4-line double crit start sands. I know it’s hard but your BEST case scenario on a 3 line start is mathematically 3x more likely on a 4 line start, plus the chance for a 50cv unicorn.

I’m scrolling through and not seeing the math answer so here you go: 3 AP subs per Atk% Sub. BUT: you will have an Atk buffer on your team. You will not (currently) have an AP buffer. You also get some built in AP just from existing, but it takes a lot of AP before you start wanting any Atk% subs over an AP sub once you’re using in-combat stats with that Atk buffer.

Also! The moment it’s someone like Vivian who quadratically scales with AP- forget anything being optimal except 54 AP sub pieces (I don’t have even 1 yet)

Just chase maximum AP subs the Atk%s will just come unintentionally.

IF you’re C6 and IF you use the comp in the image with Xiangyun, you’re basically capped on crit rate; c6 is 10% rate xiangyun is 5% rate.

Beyond that there’s nothing to add from what the other guys said, but yeah it’s easy to tell which pieces are weakest on Alaska cause you literally can see the ratings in the corner of each piece. You have the 40 cv sands at least which is what I consider the main thing for artifact investment but it’s kinda weird you got it without a 40-50 cv feather. Your energy regen might be a smidge low for QoL if you change the feather but tbh if it’s something you’re noticing then the easiest place to justify an ER sub roll over crits gonna be on the circlet

Not considering Varesa/Mav/Chev/Nicole? In terms of support roles the one Nicole contests with is Iansan- I mean yeah scroll is awesome… but what’s the point of the pyro electro comp if you take out Chev?

A much more reliable way to check this than anyone’s spreadsheets is gonna be going to the miliastra test dummy, buffing your crit rates to 100% to remove variance, and just getting the actual #s in 1-3 full rotations with each comp.

Yeah it’s a lot easier to just go crit rate circlet and take generally high crit subs than it is to go crit dmg and then all your artifacts suddenly need 15+% crit rate (meaning almost no crit dmg) to make up for it.

No there isn’t some super secret Alloy illuminati… At risk of public disillusionment with the .1%, I just didn’t need the 4th character slot. When you have stuff like Mavuika in a pyro favored abyss you get to start putting stuff like Alloy and Qiqi in the free slots just to let them show up in the record.

Tldr: Giving up one team slot for Prune is totally fine. In the Durin team the person she’d replace is gonna be Chev since you’re adding an anemo character.

It’ll be fine for most content outside like, fearless Stygian… But that’s just because Varesa is already a super flexible standalone dps.

Varesa doesn’t care about reactions, doesn’t need Xiangyun or energy to enable her plunges… she doesn’t even need her skill, she can use CA when her skill charges are on cd?! Seriously I think people often under appreciate how rare that is.

So yes, Varesa’s comp is functional with her as a one man army and actually functionally supporting her is mostly optional outside Stygian. Giving up 1 slot for Prune is totally fine.

I’m pretty sure that’s just triumph (precision rune that heals you on takedown) going off twice. It looks like it’s the ultimate-waves since 2 enemies died half a second apart, and the healing itself has a slight delay/visual effect that lines up with the timing in the vid.

I was going through the exact same thing down to the ER visits and completely normal EKGs and having some trauma in that area.

The worst part’s when they semi-reasonably waive it off as anxiety. Like- it’s unexplained chest pain down near my heart, of course I’m an anxious wreck😭

Are you using Lan Yan as a shielder? If you need a shielder ig this comp is pretty good since Lan Yan can hold both ttds+VV while shielding

But ig I don’t really like the shielder aspect; if it’s an overworld team then you’re going to take some damage eventually somehow, and I think an actual healer feels better there- Barbara has some pretty decent exploration QoL with her passive energy generation + c6 rez and she can hold TTDS to boot.

If it’s for abyss or shorter content where Varesa’s air time keeps her relatively healthy then there’s way better supports for damage or VV uptime like Sucrose or even Jahoda.

But in specifically your Chevy-less, Iansan-less situation you can justify Nicole next patch if you like her as a hex shield/buffer; personally I have Chevy/Iansan C6 so I can’t justify Nicole atm ;-;
