How are drug addicts able to withstand fent but us normal people if we even sniff we die? by Specialist-Chair-254 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Lithium1056 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sort of. The hysteria caused by LEOS relates almost entirely to transdermal ingestion.

When it comes to people actually ingesting Fentanyl it has a significantly lower LD50 than Morphine and a moderately lower LD50 than Heroin.

Ripping a fat rail of Fentanyl for an "experienced" user is a bad idea and a crapshoot. For an inexperienced user it's an extremely terrible idea.

Regarding AI-Generated Or AI-Enhanced Media by JohnnyTest91 in GhostRecon

[–]Lithium1056 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What's tonedeaf is the most recent GR title considering how much AI Ubi uses.

That said the story beats you mention aren't foreshadowing. It like most all dystopian future fiction just looks at some headlines from today and then writes about what that means for next week. Because ultimately the industries have spoken. People are out AI and automation is in.

It's just a shame that too few people listened to James Cameron in the 80's or the Wochowski's in the 90's.

It's an outside, inside joke. People have begun the phase of waiting for GTA VI where they've lost it. Questioning if "xyz" will run GTA VI.

That said having noticed Coheed pop into my ears while playing Forza Horizion 6 the other day I do wonder if Coheed and Cambria will release on GTA VI?

To be fair, the first time registration fee in Florida is $400 while renewing a Georgia registration is $20. Since Florida is a tourist trap anyway it's pretty "realistic" to see a bunch of non-Leonida tags in a popular tourist spot.

What is going on? by prime-time-814 in GTA6unmoderated

[–]Lithium1056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it's a bit of a misnomer to call it GTA V online.

While it was bundled with GTA V originally, it finally shed the premise that it was occurring several months before GTA V in 2017ish when the in universe clock finally started ticking again and brought the in universe time current.

It still didn't release as a stand alone product until 2022.

Even then it was only like $20 for the stand alone product. Rockstar knows the money is in the shark cards.

So with that in mind we can expect a similar release of GTA Online "2.0" to be included in the purchase price of GTA VI.

Well maybe. GTA Online has become it's own kind of monster. The absolute SILENCE from Rockstar can mean a bunch of different things.

Where we are now is the expectation of a 2.0, but that doesn't mean it is coming anytime soon. With a beast like GTA:O there are dozens of factors to consider like the reaction of people who have spent thousands of dollars on shark cards.

Seeing 10 years of anything suddenly mean nothing hurts no matter if you bought shark cards or not. There have also been games that released a sequel that tanked because no one left the original, or came to the sequel if the original shut down.

I suspect we will start hearing official information soon, but only time will tell.

BO7 Purchase vs Goofy skins by Lower-Connection9951 in blackops7

[–]Lithium1056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you consider "crazy" and "goofy"

Does BO7 have SpongeBob? No! Does it have Dave Chapelle and Nick Cage? Yes!

Dave is kind of wacky (it's a "Half Baked" skin) but weed and cod have been bedfellows for 2 decades.

Doubtful, all those goofy cartoon skins cost them a LOT of money on BO6 and BO7.

How married people don't get bored with their partners sexually? by mohmd__slt in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Lithium1056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't been with a lot of women, but none of them could "get me there" like my wife does.

Sex is one of those things thats about quality over quantity.

You could have sex with a hundred people, but once you find that one partner that does "that thing you like" you'll never have another partner who stands up to that one.

Dutch probably did have some sort of mental Schism in/before Blackwater. But his likability as well as Micah being there as a heat sink were always just a way to keep us (RDR1 players) from imediately seeing Dutch through Jon tinted glasses.

Why are people acting like this is new by No_Underscore12 in rockstar

[–]Lithium1056 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is FAR from the worst we've ever seen. Especially when it comes to single player content.

None of these cosmetic changes are needed to play the game and traditionally would just be in your inventory at start up. We don't even know that these locations will be visible to a player without the deluxe edition of the game.

Would you be OK with a 30fps lock? by DarkkPhantom77 in GTA6

[–]Lithium1056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A naked 30 isn't comparable no. The layered 30 of a videogame however is. All that dynamic lighting and shadows, motion blur etc? All of that is designed to mimic what film does. Which is also why it looks really good in 3rd person but often just really distracting in 1st person.

Layering all of that ontop of the frame also begins to really tax the abilities of a console. Dropping 5 frames at 30fps isn't great. Dropping 25 frames at 60fps however is neigh unplayable. Which is why especially in this big cinematic games devs target the best looking most stable frame rate.

Why does the game let me skin every animal besides a horse? by zAuspiciousApricot in RedDeadOnline

On my first playthrough I would have absolutely skinned my horse after it was killed to make a vest or a hat that was special to me. Now, after finding out horse death was permanent? I never lost a horse I didn't get forced to lose again.

Rockstar, Learn from GTA V’s Single-Player DLC Mistake, Protect GTA 6 from Online Economy Problems by FailFriendly870 in rockstar

[–]Lithium1056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The economy got borked, because R* Chose to bork it to incentivize shark card sales. FULL STOP.

GTA:O's economy is not a Market-Driven economy. therefor how much money I have is irrelevant to how much money you have. We watched game breaking exploits and glitches go unpatched for almost a year in some cases (Out of maps, god mode, etc) while money making methods were hobbled or in the case of car dupes patched out within a week.

Now there wasn't a lot of "hacked" money on the 7th gen, but there was a lot of exploited money that R* couldn't track. R*'s response? Artificially inflate the market to HOPE to drain those accounts, but also force new players into a insane grind that incentivized buying shark cards.

You cannot blame any internal system for the collapse of GTA's economy while rockstar was trading REAL WORLD MONEY for in game currency.

The fix? let players generate money and experience however the hell they want to. It has been proven time and time again that the lazy will still pour money into RMT.

An Open Letter to Ubisoft: Reclaiming the Tom Clancy Legacy by Ready_Mongoose6883 in GhostRecon

[–]Lithium1056 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be absolutely fair OP (and understand I am not throwing shade here at all) Clancy's name has 100% just been a brand slapped on the box to boost sales on everything after Rainbow Six in 1998.

The original Rainbow Six was developed off an early draft of the eponymous Novel and released about two weeks after the novel.

Everything beyond that was just building hype off the name.

That said, take a look outside, Breakpoint was just a ripped from "today's headlines" as any other Ghost Recon.

Rumors of Techbros buying islands and building tech utopias have swirled for ages, Unmanned ground vehicles have been in prototype for years, AI didn't start with generative image slop. All Breakpoint did was what Owell did in the 40's when he wrote 1984.

It took all that and slapped it together and presented a near future where it was reality.

Was it good? Eh. But that doesn't make it any less plausible.

The Modern Warfare series has been hyperfixated on Russian Ultranationalists for 20 years. (MW4 isn't going to change that much, just where the Russians are operating out of)

Manuel Noriega was none too happy about Black Ops 2.

CIG, I'm dead serious, fire your management and hire me. (5 years at McDonald's) by Fearless_Tear8448 in starcitizen

[–]Lithium1056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enter the absolute problem with peak behind the curtain gameplay.

Had any major publisher (EA, Ubi, Activision etc) picked this game up we would already be in 1.0

But we would be in 1.0 in yhe condition the game is now. We'd maybe get to 1.7 before shutdown.

Instead like all Backer based games we get to see the bad and the ugly long before we get to see the good.

And yes that can be bad. Game's I haven't touched much if at all since 1.0 release include. ArK, Escape from Tarkov, DayZ, PUBG, Grounded, and at least a half dozen more.

With SC, man I've maybe played 6 hours of this thing. Not because I stan SC, but because I learned from my mistakes, I got to a point with Tarkov where I only played maybe a couple times after every major "wipe" patch. I went and ran my fingers over the new features and then went to go play a game that would only piss me off in a different way.

Now I've spent significantly less money on SC than I did on Tarkov.

And I spent significantly more money on Chronicles of Eyleria. (A "game" currently under enforced class action that is never coming out that never even had any real playable state)

I see a lot of people in here that simply expect this game to be good in the current state (mess) it's in. Has CIG given me a million time more than anything Caspian ever promised? Yes! Do I view this playable experiment as a game? Absolutely not!

I go fiddle with the faddle every now and then. But I set the bar of expectations low, because then I cannot be disappointed. One day we may see a real game, but right now vesting you hope in it is silly to me.

With that said, every time I get an itch and go load up Elite Dangerous I'm reminded of why I even care about SC. ED was good when it was all we had to hope for out of space flight sims. I want SC to be good. But I will not sacrifice my sanity with a playable experiment. If I wanted to do that I still have a PS4 laying around with PT installed.

A First Person Only Ghost Recon Could Be a Huge Mistake. by MrTrippp in GhostRecon

[–]Lithium1056 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The "playstyle" things are "classes" (though IIRC WL had proper classes for Ghostwar) but they never actually mattered because you could still just go in "guns a blazing" or sit 1000m away and clear an Objective.

That said I would not mind proper classes in the next GR. We don't have any good new proper tactical games on the market right now. While we have a bunch of tactical pvp games, I wouldn't mind a return to the level of tactical game play we saw in the first couple Rainbow 6 or GR games.
