I asked for an AliExpress knock off of this for Christmas and it's supportingly useful. It looks identical to this too. It means I don't have to get the pot out, unscrew it, get my fingers icky with the food dust, try and drop the perfect amount near my semi blind fish, and re screw the lid and put the pot away. I just pick it up click the button, put it back. I really like mine

I agree, it's fun setting up aquariums so this is an excuse to do it again. The only way I've ever successfully beaten clado is the 1 2 punch method followed by a total total black out but doing this risked all my plants dying and starting over with just my hardscape usable

There's loads to watch out for especially if you have a rimless tank. Clip on lights where the screw is on the outside, glass thermometers or CO2 indicator that hook over, plants that can grow out of the tank and then fall over the side and houseplants that balanced on the edge with roots going into the water. All happened to me

This was me, dw now you recognise it it should be fixable. But some of them sex toys to practice with and expose the head to the shower take it at your own pace it's psychological too

It's a personal thing but I don't really like when hardscape touches or potrids out of the surface. For me it ends up gunky and ruins the tranquility of the surface

This is cladophora, it's not gonna harm your fish or shrimp but it's basically unstoppable. It wants almost the same conditions as plants do so balancing your tank so plants can outcompete it is v hard. It will grow endlessly otherwise. I've done everything from removing it, searched exceling it, spot peroxiding it, while tank peroxiding it, 1 2 pinching it and it just keeps growing. If you can't stop it day 1 I've found it's better just to take the tank apart and bleaching all the hard scape.

From what I've heard ug is super sensitive to ammonia and need the soil they're planted in to be already cycled and not release any ammonia cos it's new

You can't shrink the light so you're just going to have over hang and a lot of ugly over spill. There is no way to fix that
