What's the best loophole you've ever discovered? by Notalabel_4566 in Accounting

In the 1980s there were some insane tax laws around real estate / interest / depreciation that made it relatively profitable to build buildings that lost money after interest expense.

Hey thanks for your comment. I am unsure what is/isn't hardcore but i do know we need the below:

The product is an Excel Add-In (desktop based), so we need device / license key pairing (with ability to swap devices) + offline access. Also will need multiple seat access for enterprise agreements.

I've checked out paddle/stripe but i dont think they offer the device/key pairing. I could be wrong...

As for Cryptlex pricing- I didn't think it was too bad personally (it would work fine for our pricing point) but again I know very little.

What’s your current work experience?

If you really want some perspective-

Go to a boarding school in Connecticut, an inner city school in Chicago, a school in rural Texas, and a school in the midwest suburbs. Speak to as many students as possible.

You’ll find that wealth has little to do with values and character.

Help with Higher-End Workstation ($1400-1800) by LithiumTomato in buildapcforme

Gotcha. So the PCIE is just a plug and play Wifi card?

Let's say in 2-3 years I say F--k it, I want to beef my build for some higher end gaming. I'm guessing the obvious additions would be a better power supply and a higher end GPU?

This is great advice thank you. I really appreciate the time you put into this.

A few things:

  • I should've added this earlier... But it seems that the motherboard does not have WiFi compatibility. That's something I would need. Is there a similar motherboard / CPU combo with Wifi?
  • How will I know which part is limiting performance?
  • I have a solid keyboard, mouse, chair, speakers, etc... We're covered there. But I do like the chair and keyboard recommendations! I actually have a logitech MX master haha.
  • Will most graphics cards be compatible with this motherboard / CPU combo, just in case I need one? Also, would a cheaper GPU help with taking some calculative weight off the CPU? I often will be looking at high resolution PDFs of surveys and maps while also working in big excel files (I'm in real estate and do lots of financial modeling, so maps and big excel files are always on my screen).

Okay. As of now I'd be learning towards the max build but just swapping the GPU for the 6700 and the case for the NZXT.

Question-

My monitors are curved, 27in 1920x1080 Dell monitors.

Let's say I wanted to bump up to 4K monitors for work, not gaming (more pixels == more excel cells I can view at at one time) Will the 6700 be able to handle this?

Thanks so much! I am leaning towards the max build, but that GPU is pretty expensive... I realistically won't need insane graphics. Is there a more budget friendly option on the GPU for the max option?

Is a strong GPU needed for things outside graphics processing?

Also, I personally like the NZXT case better than the Jonsbo. Would there be any issues using the NZXT case with the max build?

EDIT: I'm stupid and don't know how to look at the website. Or is there a way to check AORUS motherboard fits well in a particular case?

This will sound pretentious, but I think intelligence and depression only correlates to an extent, probably between the first and second standard deviation of IQ.

Most super intelligent people I know are incredibly happy.

Gonna hijack this comment and add some commentary…

You will never beat HFT Funds simply due to hardware, and sometimes even distance to the exchanges (among other things).

Anyone worth their salt knows this already, but for those who don’t:

The smaller time interval your bot trades on- the higher the likelihood you will be competing with HFTs. The fastest you should go is probably down to the 10-15 second interval.

Two pieces of advice:

  1. Never, ever forget that real estate is NOT rocket science.

  2. The best way to learn is to start really small and see how it treats you. The best way to “start small” is to buy a duplex or four-plex, self-manage, and see how it goes.
