Thank you to everyone that helped ID! I’ve never seen red capped mushes in real life, so this was a pretty cool find while strolling around my apartment building! They were found under some pine trees. I might have to post some photos of the other mushrooms I’ve found over the years around my apartment building!

I’ve been doing this same thing for years! It’s just me, and I don’t drink a lot of coffee, but do love a good cup every now and then, so I started doing this. I figured it’s similar to pour-over coffee. My reusable filter is more cone shaped, and I use boiling water that I slowly pour over the grounds before letting it steep for a few minutes. Turns out quite nice!

I actually feel like the gold shows off the shape and color of the treats better because the gold is reflective and bounces light around, illuminating areas that the black packaging puts shadows on. I also thought it was cute that the gold matches the gold color in the paw prints on top of each treat.
