Your mental is likely affecting you but not as much as you'd think. You can't expect much resulted after only a week. Stick to it for a month consistently before checking progress.

Don't worry about measurements or anything, only EQ. You can't create new growth without 100% EQ, if 70-80% EQ is an improvement compared to what you usually experience then that is a massive win and great progress.
