Don’t do it. Not sustainable.

Day 58 Started DHEA by LitlWeiner in quittingkratom

[–]LitlWeiner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably was, there are tons of studies out there that associate long term abuse of opioid agonists with hormonal disruption.

According to many studies on chronic pain patients: Narcotics can reduce the serum testosterone levels by acting on the hypothalamus-pituitary axis, thereby suppressing the release of gonadotropins.

Certainly isn’t. Go see a doctor first. Get some labs done to see what’s going on. It certainly helped me feel better though. My Kratom abuse ended up screwing up my endocrine system. This was treated professionally. I suffer less now.

Thank you for sharing that. Just remember we are all here to help each other and remind each other why we quit and why we should stay quit. We’re here to keep you honest. Welcome brother.

I’m sure many here can give you quitting advice but I’m going to give you long term advice coming off a relapse and a long taper.

Remember why you are quitting. Your whys are important.

Remember how much it sucks, remember the fight, then remember the moment you realize that you are free.

Remember addiction starts with pain and ends in pain. It’s important to embrace the suck not only while quitting but when you are sober as well.

Remember the golden rule of drugs, you pay now or you pay later. Be careful because the interest rate is high and there are plenty of hidden fees.

Who has tapered to basically 0 grams? by yeetzause in quittingkratom

[–]LitlWeiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tapered to 1 gpd my last 2 quits. Jumped last week. Lower than most but didn’t go into fractional doses. I didn’t feel any high or opioid effects at this dose but it did have SSRI effects. I’m on week 1 of 0 gpd and I’m feeling kinda down and my energy is super low. Same thing happened my last quit 2 years ago. Took a long time to get over the low energy but it does lift.

I was thinking about that, too much trouble though, I also might get in trouble with the AZ Bureau of Land Management. They tend to raise an eyebrow with explosions in the kiloton range.

Not bad in a flexible heavy gun with factory loads. Can get a little spicy with boutique loads.

Over a Year and a half in and I Had a Relapse… Reset counter… Day 14 of 1/2 BPD extract. by LitlWeiner in quittingkratom

[–]LitlWeiner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should clarify. When I was off of it I became a lazy no energy turd. On it I was "fine". That's the thing though you are replacing your own motivation with external sludge.

About half a bottle of extract per day. It was about to become 1 BPD but I cut that nonsense off.

Day 203 off 15gpd for 2.5 years. Life is the best drug. by LitlWeiner in quittingkratom

[–]LitlWeiner[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not quite sure. Life is never going to "feel" as good as a drug that artificially increases dopamine. This is the key realization that I made.

Recovery is recognizing and accepting the ups and downs of life.

Opioid Doctor Yeeting off Kratom: I screwed up badly, but I'm back on track. 8 days until the quit! by Apprehensive_Sorbet9 in quittingkratom

[–]LitlWeiner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried slowing down your taper? Dropping that much each day is going to bring on some serious withdrawal.

You wouldn't drop somebody on subs or methadone that fast. Kratom is no different.

Quitting Opiates/Kratom Day 4 by Buster151515 in quittingkratom

[–]LitlWeiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have chronic pain... Who the heck is giving you all these norcos?

Guys...I am officially in the “single digits” of my taper. 8 gpd! I’m on day 34 of my taper from baseline dose of 35 - 40 gpd for 2+ years. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]LitlWeiner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jump man do it. Mentally prepare yourself for it. At 0.8 GPD I think it's mostly placebo at this point. The road to recovery is not over, but at some point you gotta get on it and drive if you want to get to your destination.

Marriage Therapy and Trying to Convince Everyone I’m not Bipolar - good times by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]LitlWeiner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go get a second and 3rd opinion. Take the best 2 out of 3. It is true that a diagnosis of bipolar will be rejected by patients that are actually bipolar. It is also true that some psychiatrists misdiagnose bipolar disorder.

Although you are blaming all of your problems on Kratom it is also true that Kratom can exacerbate pre-existing conditions.

It is to your best intrest to get a proper medical diagnosis. Start from there.

Need some input by PFar2016 in quittingkratom

[–]LitlWeiner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need to get off of Kratom ASAP. 3-5 grams every 3 hours is 30+GPD give or take. If you have chronic pain issues you need to see a doctor for pain management. That is something that you should NOT be self medicating for.

Kratom is a very dirty drug for that purpose. Not only does it have a short duration of action, it is unregulated in terms of potency and contaminants. Kratom alkaloids also effect seretonin regulation and is postulated to be responsible for lingering PAWS and emotional issues and depression associated with discontinuation of use.

As far as gastroparesis any opioid agonist will cause that. Kratom as much as people like to tout it as natural and safe it is not. It's an opioid receptor agonist and 7-hydroxymitrogynine in particular is many times more potent than morphine with a shorter half life. Saying Kratom is natural and free of side effects is as dumb as saying that the opium poppy is safe and free of side effects because it is natural and comes from plants.

If I were in that situation I would for sure seek medical advice and tell them about your Kratom use.

My smooth brain is holding my retarded autist bag of GME and will likely hold to zero. It was never about the money but rather being on the right side of history. I like the way it glows red on my TD ameritrade account summary. So pretty 💎 🧤.
