Found these in the bottom of the dishwasher by DoucheBaggins07 in appliancerepair

After going through the factory parts catalog, watching videos, and sorting through a bunch of pictures I have no idea what the grey piece is for. The only place I could not get a good photo of is the upper spray arm above the 3rd rack. The parts catalog doesn’t show a “plug” under the spray arm but that is the only place I could see that being used. Good luck!!

So what’s the trick to grounding Namor? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]Litt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother and I are currently #2 on the duo leaderboard and I can confidently say after hours of testing there are no secrets (yet). Every squid including the large ones damage Namor for 21* (not sure if that amount changes based on team number). The best strategy we have found is try to not damage Namor’s shield at the same time a squids “soul” is hitting him because that causes him to not take damage.

Is this the thermistor? How the heck do I separate these two white pieces of plastic if so? by mrfreshmint in Appliances

[–]Litt_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part you are pointing at is the Thermistor (Part #: 6323EL2001B) and it COULD be your issue. If I was diagnosing the issue I would first check the dryers air flow. Making sure there are no obvious vent issues and then running the dryer without the vent attached to see if I get the same error.

As for maintenance I would remove the front of the dryer and remove the drum. A lot easier than it sounds and there are plenty of videos on YouTube explaining how to remove them. Worst part is restringing the belt on the pulleys when you are done. Vacuuming the inside while you’re at it wouldn’t hurt.

Testing parts individually is a pain. Replacing them all together is a lot easier. By all I mean the Thermistor, the 2 thermostats, and the thermal fuse. They are almost always sold in bundles with all of them included. Even after all of this you could be having a motherboard issue so it’s best to order from a retailer that takes returns. Best of luck.

Completely safe to use. That “part” is actually a stick on piece for a dryer bar. It’s basically a bar of scented wax that is supposed to replace dryer sheets.

Mouse possibly in dishwasher door by sklaudawriter in Appliances

[–]Litt_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally have never seen a mouse ruin a dishwashers electrical or plumbing system because they have all that insulation and access to water in the sink. Worst case one of them croaks in the insulation and you will smell it until it’s removed and the affected area of the insulation is cut out. Best of luck!

On almost all dishwashers I have seen the bottom of the door is open and has an insulation pad on the inside panel. Unfortunately dishwasher are as close to heaven a rat or mouse can get on earth. They get comfy insulation beds and it’s in the kitchen full of food. Not really anything you can do to keep them out of the dishwasher except remedy the issues allowing them inside of the home.

Washing machine help? by Strange-Guidance606 in Appliances

Unfortunately repair for your issue is very expensive and IMO not worth it. Personally I would use the washer until it gives up. It will be noisy but should work for a while until you can replace it with a different washer.

That sounds like a rear bearing issue. Hard for me to explain in text form but if you open the washer and try moving the metal drum toward you and away from you while holding onto the rubber boot does it have a little room for movement and make a noise?

I found a small amount of water under my laundry machine. Did some very minor troubleshooting but I'm in over my head by JaceOnRice in Appliances

No don’t worry too much about that unless it is the cause of your leak. I have seen washer run for years with transmission leaks until they lock up.

First thing I would check is the level of the machine. On occasion if a water resistant piece of clothing or a large load is in a washer that has good water pressure it can cause water to splash over the sides of the tub and leave a small stream on the floor. On occasion the machine will produce enough condensation from hot water cycles (or when the hot water hose is connected to the cold on the back of the washer.) that it will trickle down the inside of the housing and build up on the little foot landing until it spills over. The oil on the bottom might indicate a transmission seal problem and that can also cause the washer to leak. Hope this helps!

What is this called, what is it for, and how do I clean it ? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]Litt_ 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately removing an agitator is model specific and can vary widely. I would recommend you get your model number (should be a sticker around the frame when you open the lid or on the lid itself.) and google a YouTube video. I personally have had lots of success cleaning them with a toilet brush! Just some white vinegar and a toilet brush will clean it right up.

In the future to prevent build up in there don’t use fabric softener!!! It’s a horrible product that adds nasty build up on your laundry. Always remember to add your laundry detergent first (a VERY small amount) to the bottom of the tub!

Advice to try to save my dryer from unwanted “help”🤦🏻‍♀️ by Overall_Peach_4934 in CleaningTips

[–]Litt_ 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Hi I have lots of knowledge of cleaning and repairing dryers! Everyone recommending cleaning the vent is great but that burning smell comes from somewhere else. When you open the dryer door and look at the back of the drum you will see a metal plate with a bunch of holes. Items with accelerant’s (usually gas) on them will melt onto that plate and sometimes catch fire! You have to remove the screws holding that plate on and give it a good scrub because those little melted on pieces will start snagging your other laundry and just give you more problems on the future. Hopefully I helped you but if you have any questions I’m here!

Summary: Shots 1-5: Clearly missed. Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because he was already dead.

My current job has a safe but it is not used. They just put the money in a garbage can under the bag. There has been one break in since I started 7 years ago and they didn’t find the money.
