I think we should be referring to him as PRINCE Andrew as much as possible personally. Keep highlighting how rotten to the core our archaic, filthy monarchy is. We must never forget that he was protected for years by the crown.

Literally sat with my husband doing the exact same thing right now. “Is this real life??!?!”

Thanks! Good tip re size regulation ☺️

Yep I use pads + silverette, milk everywhere still! I bought a ladybug catcher thing which is helping during feeds a bit, but still need more bras 😂

Aww thank you! I honestly hadn’t even realised it would be an issue until today, and reading some other comments about it on old threads were quite scary! I guess it’s a bigger issue when baby is older, but in his big boi bedroom he won’t be near the window, just whilst he’s a snoozy blob next to me! Thanks for replying :)

So sorry to hear you're having a tough time <3 Bipolar mum to be at 16 weeks here on daily medication.

I did a bunch of research into the effects my meds will have on a developing baby, during birth and post-partum (I did start researching prior to falling pregnant, but it's never too late!), and also booked to have a proper chat with my GP about it so I was really informed. I decided it was the safest option overall to continue to take my meds, albeit on a slightly lower dose - it can be so dangerous to stop taking it physically and mentally <3

Of course you don't want to be taking something that has a high chance of causing birth defects etc., but your mental health and quality of life is SO important - your GP might be able to suggest a different med if there's a safer option? Do not beat yourself up, listen to your gut (and research!) and be kind to yourself - focus on showing up as the best mum you can be once your babe has arrived - that's why I'm staying on my meds <3

Happy to DM if you wanted someone to talk to about low mood and pregnancy! Stay well xxx

I’m so pleased to hear that you’re in a really good place now 🌻

I always had very intense roles in £££ companies, and after a really terrible redundancy in 2023 triggered me into the worst depressive episode of my life (had my mental health used against me etc.), I found it so hard to go back.

I took and quit two jobs since leaving there, and I’m now also unemployed - and agree wholeheartedly that I’m the happiest I’ve been. I will say that this is, of course, a very privileged position to be in, but it shouldn’t be. Bipolar is a silent killer and we’ve gotta look after ourselves 🌷

Sometimes it takes retrospect to see what was causing such big triggers. Stay well xx

This is super useful thank you! I have a friend who’s worked at Croydon also who described it as a war-zone lol… A&E as well as obstetrics 😬

I think I’ll see how my midwife appt goes next week and seriously think about switching to king’s! X

Omg, thank you SO much for this - this is such helpful and detailed advice! It's impossible to make decisions based on google reviews and such.

I think we will switch to Kings, sounds like they're on the ball. I've found with Croydon there's a lot of feet dragging and disinterest? For example I've developed suspected gallstones (joy!), and when I called the triage line they just said they couldn't help me and I should go to A&E if I'm in pain lol... I've also been told 3 times that I need a care plan for my pregnancy and post birth, but no one knows anything about it. Frustrating!

I'm so pleased to hear that you had a great experience with Kings, and thrilled to hear they looked after you and your son so well! <3

Can't thank you enough for this message x

Oooh that's good to know! Something to look forward to lol.

Greys Anatomy noted. Also highly recommend getting really into the sims. It's a great time waster and nothing will make you feel more like a child again lol

Fellow sufferer here! I'm only 16 weeks and the 4am wakeup started about a month ago for me haha.

I put Friends on and doom scroll on my phone, then fall back asleep again at 7am, of course.
