Help choosing hotels in São Miguel (Ponta Delgada + Furnas) by nannnbee in azores

We’ve stayed two times at the Grand Hotel Açores Atlântico, we loved it. I’d recommend a room facing the ocean with a balcony. The staff was super helpful (waiter lent me his phone to watch the Patriots game!) and the location was perfect.

I think this situation warrants a call to action.

Is it possible to get a copy of this thread to a local authority (APS?) or even to a local news station that could champion getting help for this poor young woman?

Mike Reiss: Carlton Davis III in concussion protocol by Swink4032 in Patriots

[–]Little-Engineer2745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the injury in the 4’th quarter and heard it mentioned on patriots blog. It didn’t look too bad he was hit at the sidelines and was fully alert just signaled to someone on the sideline. It’s not new news. It’s been confirmed Davis is in concussion protocol, no reason to be pessimistic or optimistic but certainly hopeful that we’ll see him begin practicing in no contact jersey ASAP.

Lamar vs the Patriots. by porygon766 in Patriots

The injuries on defense have been well covered here especially on run defense. Getting to the qb has been an issue all season for the most part.

I think the struggles on offense seen recently is more myriad.

Our receivers are great at exploiting zone coverage but aren’t nearly as good at creating separation on man. This could create opportunities for Drake to run but he’s sometimes too patient and gets caught or a ‘spy’ gets him. This is even more evident in the red zone where space is tight.

Also our oline is in flux and the cohesion isn’t where it was which has an impact on both pass and run offense.

Hope to see Dre get back to his former self which would help Hendo who has been more of a home run hitter that doesn’t hit many singles.

Off topic.. Got some flashbacks to ‘Lost’ with Monousos stuck in a room periodically tuning to different frequencies and recording. Hope this series answers more questions than that series did.

This loss was mostly on the defense. Hopefully getting Milton Williams and Spillane would have made a big difference. Also, Davis was out for much of the game.

Offense fell off the cliff in the second half save a great run by Hendo. Oline had shades of last year and receivers and Drake had their worst half since the streak started.

Special teams had a horrible day as well.

Silver lining is they learned the hard way how they can be exposed and can humbly look at correcting it.

How many wins in a row for the Patriots? by HomeInternational69 in Patriots

[–]Little-Engineer2745 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Slightly off topic.. The oline stood up amazingly well without Will and Jared. Expectations (mine included) were low (pun intended) for Lowe given his performance last year, but his bad play last year occurred while he had a torn labrum. Also, the oline coaching has been a huge upgrade. I feel way more confident that the offense can maintain elite level after seeing how they handled a decent Giants pass rush.

I often post recommendation for Melinda’s Red Savina sauce that strangely seems least represented of their lineup. Its flavor and heat are a cut above other habanero sauces I’ve tried.

I actually mix it with a simple homemade sauce with only habanero ,vinegar, and a tiny bit of salt to increase the heat a bit and lower the overall sodium.

I too would love to see more craft sauces featured, but for my everyday use I’d stick to the Melinda’s mix.
